Fun build
Was very impressed with this build definitely worth the money. Have had a lot of comments about how cool it is. You won't be disappointed.

Breathtaking in size, heft, quality and documentation
This product knocks you over with it's sheer presence. It's huge - beyond what the ad's numbers convey - and heavy - partly with so many blocks and partly with not just one, but THREE volumes of instructions for assembly, each of which could have served a small city as a phone book. Yes! It's that detailed. This is a pre-assembly review because we want to get this right and thus not do starts and stops - things in our home get lost betwixt such staccato labors. So we've not so much put together even a pair of the bricks, but the quality of manufacture is evident even before removing one from its bag and examining it - molding is fabulous. As I hope my pics convey, this would be an amazing gift for the right person - they will be thrilled with the detail and completeness - plus the packaging is just beyond gorgeous. And for all this, with nearly 2,000 parts, it's probably only one fourth, or less, the price of a kit by the name brand (you know it) and I have such name brand kits so I can compare - THIS ONE WINS, hands down.Oh, yes, I completely RECOMMEND this fantastic brick model and come the next cold-snap indoor day, it's top project for us. Will update if any quirks arise at that point.

Good Grief no Just Grief
The blocks for this bus just don't fit right. We had to pilfer parts from our grandchildren block collection. Blocks don't lock in place so blocks or sections keep falling off. About to just put it back in the box. The front of the bus just kerps falling off as we build it. Frustrating.Don't recommend this.Update: Jul 8, 2024 This bus is sitting there in pieces. The top won't go on right. Front falls off. Ended up buying main block brand and it is going together nicely. This model was a waste of money and time.

It's not Lego but it's close
I own thousands of dollars worth of Lego and up until now I've never tried a cheaper version. I've read bad things about them not fitting together properly etc. This set looked pretty cool so I decided to try it.The parts are similar to Lego but not quite the same quality. To start with I was very impressed with how well things fit together. The working steering mechanism was particularly good. As I continued to build I started to find a few flaws. A lot of pieces of the taxi kept falling off when bumped or when I pressed another section on which does sometime happen with Lego but not as often. The doors and trunk open and close very nicely but any time I open the hood it comes apart and it's a pain trying to get it back on again. This model is definitely for display only. It's not sturdy enough to play with. The phone box was a lot of fun to build. It was a great design and looks very realistic. If they wanted to make it more realistic they could have a few broken windows and a smashed phone and maybe a puddle of urine at the bottom! On the box it says you can download the instructions but there are 3 instruction booklets included so you don't have to.Overall I'd say this kit is well worth the money. You get a lot of parts for under $100. I know a similar lego version would probably cost around $300. You get just as much enjoyment out of building it and the finished product is good enough to display but for a third of the price.

Unboxing experience is UCS quality. Aesthetic design is good. Build design/experience is poor.
We are huge Lego fans. I have entire bookshelves displaying our collection in the basement. We've been to Lego Land. We watch Lego Masters as a family. I rarely pass on a free brick kit. A couple have been incredible, virtually indistinguishable from Lego. Some very poor by comparison. For the price and stock photos I had higher expectations for this kit. Some met, some definitely not.The designers spent a decent amount of time on the box and experience. Certainly a step up from Lego's normal experience. More similar to the UCS line. The bricks themselves look identical to Lego unless you get very close. There were a few that took a little more effort to lock together. The building experience was very poor. I guess I had higher expectations here because there's a designer's name on the front? My 9 and 11 year old sons became very frustrated over and again and shed many tears. I didn't watch over their shoulders the whole time but I did have to step in multiple times to rescue the process. I think the main difference is that Lego varies the colors of the inner parts to increase clarity of parts and placement. Often bright colors like pink, orange, and neon green. This kit is instead all black and all red, which makes it very difficult to distinguish parts and placement.Lastly, Lego builds are typically very structurally sturdy. Often locking pieces in from two or three different directions. This taxi cab literally breaks apart every time I pick it up. Large sections held together by a few studs in only one direction. No structural integrity whatsoever. I'm not including pictures of the finished product because I don't want to take the time to keep it together. It does look just like the stock pics.We built the Lego Delorean from Back to the Future about the same time as this kit. The experience was night and day. An utter delight by comparison.I personally would never pay money for this brand again. If you have a special affinity for the British cab or phone booth, it will work for a display piece. It would likely cost 4x more from Lego and the average observer probably wouldn't notice the difference on a shelf. I gave it two stars because of the box quality and its potential as a permanent display. Otherwise it's a one star for me.

Interesting Build
The pieces are nice and stay together well. An interesting build if you want to display it somewhere. Or if you just enjoy things like this. It's too large for normal lego type people, so don't expect to drive around your lego mayor in this taxi.

Nice but cheaply made
This is an interesting set but several of the bricks are miss shaped and don't fit right and several didn't click together at all and I had to glue them in place to try to continue building. The instructions were easy to follow but I didn't finish the set due to the poor quality bricks.
