Great Wallet but Screws Fall Out
I bought this wallet in Nov 2022 and have been using it ever since. 6 months later here are some pros and cons.Pros: great size wallet and I love the elastic money strap. I used a different wallet that had a metal money clip and I hated that clip. If you placed that wallet in your car or on a table the clip would scratch the surface. With the elastic money strap I don't have to worry about that and it can hold a really thick stack of cash no worries. So far the elastic is still strong, I think over a little more time it will lose its elasticity more but for now it is holding up well for the price. Another pro is the wood grain. I do get a lot of people asking me about it since other brands use different styles of metal, I feel like the wood is a better style choice.Cons: The wood itself is not very strong. I have noticed a couple places where there are hairline cracks that will probably get worse over time. The biggest issue is that the screws have been falling out and I have only just noticed it. I have lost 5 of the 14 screws. I was able to take a few out and redistribute them better but I wish now I would have taken the wallet apart when I first got it and put some thread locker on the screws first. If you don't do that I imagine after a year you would lose most of the screw and the wood face would fall off or crack. I will look at a hardware store for replacements. They are really tiny Allen screws probably available at a Home Depot.Giving 4 stars since the price is in line with the quality, it makes a great gift and has really helped me slim down my wallet size, no more huge bulky leather wallets for me! With a little prep and elbow grease of your own when you get the wallet, it will last for a year maybe more depending on wear and tear.

You just found your no-brainer, RIDGE replacement. This is the real deal. Almost identical!
Update, April 2019:Ive had this wallet for 5 months now, and it still looks new. This is the real deal! By now, I'd be buying a new wallet if I was using an old-style one, and it would be full of junk I don't need. This wallet is durable and forces you to keep your junk at a minimum! The elastic has lasted just fine and should last at least a year, providing you don't abuse it. I don't have any money in the elastic in the photos, but I usually have anywhere from 1-5 bills in there and it has lasted just fine.In total, just from me, at least 10 of these have been bought by friends already. A friend of mine is about to order another for his son. He said that after getting this wallet I gave him as a gift, he will never use anormal wallet again.I liked this so much, I bought 4 more as gifts. So far, the two that have received it are happy as hell. Others are even asking me where to get them!I compared it to my buddy's real ridge wallet and here is the scoop...This is almost identical to the ridge wallet. The only differences are:1) The elastic doesn't have the buckle that the new ridge wallets have (most people remove the buckle anyway, to make the wallet smaller).2) The elastic does not have the rubber dots on the inside to help secure your money (however, this seems to hold money just fine).3) The diameter of the head of the screws is slightly smaller, which is the main visual difference comparing side-by-side... Pretty much a non issue, unless you are trying to convince a ridge wallet expert lol.4) The aluminum interior part is shaped slightly differently. To me, this isn't really an issue. Perhaps you can fan your cards out more easily with one or the other, but I did not compare this. I just push the cards out on mine and it works for me. Fanning didn't work so well, but maybe it wouldn't work so well on the RIDGE either. If I try again with my friends real RIDGE, I'll update my review... But so far, I don't care. In fact, I seem to remember him saying he didn't fan the cards out anyway.Other than that, these wallets seem to work and function the same. As far as durability, only time will really tell, but it seems durable enough to me. If it breaks, which I don't expect to happen anytime soon, by then I might be into something else or I can just buy a brand new one at around $20. Whatever the case, I'm pretty sure it will outlast my other $30 POS wallet and I really like this thing! No, you won't be accumulating receipts or business cards in this wallet.. But that's a good thing right? My leather front pocket wallet was pretty small too, but because I could jam it with business cards and receipts, it ended up getting almost just as fat as normal wallet and busted at the seams. I had to replace that $30 thing every 4 months or be content being be raggedy. It was embarrassing tbh.As far as capacity, I have 2 debit cards, a flat health insurance card, a flat credit card, and a DL in it. Some people report the wallet being crooked or whatever, but this probably happens no matter what brand of this style wallet you get, if you have several cards with raised lettering. I only have two cards with raised lettering, so I flip them over in such a way so they fit together and it keeps my wallet nice and flat. If I don't, it's not much of an issue though.. It may jut be an issue if you have several cards that have raised lettering and just out them in randomly. Personally, this doesn't affect me though. Whatever the case, I'm not putting cards in that I don't need. One review mentioned that they though this may have been made in the same factory as the original. The truth is... It's almost that close... Honestly, the differences are nothing to be up in arms about. This isn't just a cheap imitation. It looks 95% the same (without the buckle), but I also wouldn't say it's 5% inferior in any way that I can tell. Without a direct comparison, you'd never realize it was different except for the missing RIDGE logo and if you were keen enough to remember any of the micro differences. For all intensive purposes, it's basically identical. As far as the screw problems others have reported, I haven't had any issues.. But I've only used the wallet for a a couple weeks. Whatever the case, the manufacturer said that the screws were updated to address the issue, making the negative reviews regarding the screws a moot point. As far as sharp edges in another review, I haven't noticed any with two that I tested (the other 3 that I bought are still either being shipped or have been shipped directly to who I bought them for). This has either been fixed or wasn't an issue to begin with. If anyone I have it to complains, I will update my review. If you are considering this or other wallets, put your mind at ease and get this. At only $20, it's a no-brainer. The RIDGE is about $115 which is a steep price to pay for something you might may or may not like... I'd only go ridge if you really want the burnt titanium and money to burn. The burnt titanium surface has been reported to scratch though, so depending on how finicky you are about stuff like that, your purchase could only be satisfying until you get a scratch... Some others might like "character."If you really need a real RIDGE, go ahead, but to be totally direct and honest with you, you'd be a fool to spend 5-6x on virtually the same thing.Anyhow, I've said my piece. I did spend unpaid time writing it that I will never get back, but I love it when people turn me on to little gems on the net and wanted to pass this on. I'm just ecstatic with my purchase. If I have anything negative to report, I will certainly update my review. If you haven't heard from me, consider the time that has passed since this review as a continual thumbs up.This concludes my real, non-paid, Bad A. Rock Master God Of Ninja Soul review as of Dec 26th, 2018.

One year review - compact and sturdy, harsh on cards
The wallet is very light and compact. After a year of normal use it holds up pretty good. The elastic is showing some wear, and the black coating on one of the screws is chipped. But other than that, super sturdy. It’s pretty hard on cards though, especially if you have cards with raised numbers, it’s gonna peel neighboring cards (see photos).Pros:1. Compact, fits easy in the pocket2. Holds well after one year of use3. The rubber band still functions pretty well after one year of useCons1. Takes some time to get used to how to take cards out2. Cards are scratched and peeled, especially if adjacent to cards with raised numbers. I replace my frequently used credit cards every few months, so this is not a deal breaker3. Hard to secure and get cards that are smaller than normal.Pro tip: I put the most commonly used two cards as first and last, so I can get them out easiest. For ID cards that’s hard to replace if scratched or peeled, I put them in the middle of cards that I rarely use.

Well built, much smaller than a traditional wallet
Seems strong and the only concern is the longevity of the elastic cash holder. It is a bit fiddly getting cards in and out but as I've only had it 2 weeks this will come easier and quicker with practice.
