I got these eyes to use for clay sculptures that I make. I learned this trick from an old ILM maquette maker and it lends so much life to a sculpt with very little effort. I also find it really useful just from an artistic perspective because as soon as I get the eyes in, it feels like it starts to come to life and it helps be find what the sculpture wants to be.

Warning: my sense of humor may not be for everyone - I got it from my dad, who loved a good practical joke. He used to put glass eyeballs in his friends' drinks and food, in their desk drawers, their car, wherever he knew they would be surprised. The acorn doesn't fall far from that tree. These eyeballs are well priced for the quantity, which makes them easier to part with. I was worried their light weight and half-round shape might change how I use them, but they float just fine (but sink more easily once tipped over), and they are easier to put in food than the old glass ones. Now I'm working on raising my younger son's prank game...

I ordered these for fun and also for a possible event we are planning but I wasn't sure how good they would turn out to be. At a price of about .83 cents each you really do get a pretty good value and quality fake eyeballs. It is important to understand that these aren't full eyeballs but rather a ball cut in half so if that might be important depending on your plans. The eye quality is overall good with bright colors that definitely have that glassy look. Personally, and for our purposes these will work great and as long as you are aware of the points I made; I think you will be happy with them as well.

These are excellent doll eyes of good quality. I'd say the quality is equal to or better than the eyes in store-bought dolls. I'm personally using them for crafts and jewelry but I will say there is not a lot of glueable area on the backside (the eye is hollow and there is only a thin rim to work with). If the maker would spend a little bit more to add additional plastic so that there was more surface area to work with on it back it would be better.

Good plastic eyes! If you're looking for realism, this ain't it - but if you just want a cool cartoonish eye with some depth, these are perfect.

Looking at the product photo, I thought these were spherical, but it turns out that they're hemispheres. I'll still adapt these for my purposes, creating puppets and/or a stuffed animal for my Grandniece (I was a Puppeteer back in the day. The irises have beautiful detailing, and come in brown, blue, green and grey. If I had these years ago, they would have saved me a lot of work!

These are very realistic looking - I couldn't use them for my purposes because I was assuming they were completely round, but that's not what this listing offers. But I wish they worked because the look of the actual iris/pupil is really spot on.
