Seen some older reviews, do these still get exceptionally hot? i am interested in 64gb version. spec seems perfect for me.

hot but nothing to be worried about. I've had mine over year still running strong.

What does the 'limited lifetime warranty' mean exactly?

I think it means its warantee is valid in your lifetime only. Also only the chip is waranteed.
