But unfortunately, cracked. Ordered a replacement and it had a hairline crack too. Bummer!!

Paint finish good and as expected for painted wood with some subtle texture inside. I put one in each side of my fireplace.

This bowl is beautiful and a great size for fruit. Style is a matter of taste, of course, but to me, this really seems contemporary and sophisticated.On the downside, the bowl seems to be rather delicate. The first one I received had a three-inch vertical crack on one side -- perfectly straight like it was a seam between curved wood pieces that were glued together. The second one is intact, but has an unsightly scratch on one side. Rather than sending it back again, I put it on a small table against the wall so the scratch can be hidden. And rather than holding fruit, it may end up holding stones, candles or some other decorative elements.

Love this bowl. It’s a nice heavy wood quality. It’s easy to clean and maintain. I’ve used it for everything from a fruit bowl to junk bowl to snack bowl. It’s very versatile and I’ve had a lot of compliments on it. Would order again.

This bowl is way bigger that I thought it would be. Its so simple yet trendy. It would be beautiful with some greenery, or plants but I am using it for fruit and veggie. I have received so many compliments.The bowl is nice and thick.

The media could not be loaded.  Love the look of this bowl if only the quality was better. It's almost like a soft wood. It came with several cracks in it and seems very easy to break. Not worth it for the price.

Paige, you done good.What kind of a way is that to that to begin a review you might ask. Well, Paige is apparently the founder of the company that makes this bowl and sends a little note with the bowl thanking you for getting it, and I'm letting her know upfront that we really like this item.Actually, when we first saw this bowl on amazon my wife and I disagreed about getting it. She did not think it was big enough and I pointed out its listed dimensions. Obviously, the fact that I am writing this review shows that at least in this instance we went with my impression. And as soon as the bowl arrived, my wife said that it is bigger than she thought and immediately washed it and put it to use. The bowl is big (twelve inches inside at the widest), and to me just as significantly it is deep (about 3.5 inches all around, such that a big old cantaloupe was safely ensconced therein)-you put things in and they stay there. The bowl has a base which pretty much keeps it situated where you put it. The bowl is made of wood, but has a white finish that makes it look like it is not. This patina on the bowl is very nice and seemingly durable.I have a number of bowls that I have acquired over the years. This is already one of my favorites due to its size and appearance. Simply put, I can find nothing to complain about with it at all. I will say this to Paige though. Make more bowls. Make them different shapes (who says they have to be round?) and sizes, and offer them in other colors and maybe even patterns. If they are as good as this one I will certainly be a repeat customer.
