As I don't tend to like whole wheat bread and I wanted a larger 2 lb loaf, I did modify the recipe by adding one cup of King Arthur bread flour and adjusted the liquids accordingly. I also added about a tablespoon of the Prepared Pantry's Pilot to help with the rise. The modified recipe also required about a 1/2 tsp additional bread machine yeast. For those using Breville's bread machine, you can create your own custom settings. I would recommend doing this and using the whole wheat setting as a template, but shaving off the 30 minutes of preheat, which serves no valuable purpose that I can determine. The resulting loaf was large, rose high, and is not dense in any way. The taste is fantastic! I plan to do this again! Review: Yum! Good flavor
Good taste but not worth $9.00 per loaf! The Bread Maker machine instructions are no longer on the package. Via Bob's web site: Ingredients 1 ¼ cups warm Water, about 110°F 1 pkg 10 Grain Bread Mix 3 Tbsp Oil (or other oil) Yeast Packet (included) locate and remove before baking Instructions Pour warm water into machine. Then add mix, oil and contents of the yeast packet. Set machine to basic white bread or medium setting and bake according to manufacturer's instructions.
