Quality over Gadgetry
Have had this for about three weeks over the Christmas holidays, so its seen a fair bit of use.I've used it with a GTX780 TI and a GTX 1080 AG when it eventually showed up. Both managed to render 144fps at 2k, which does make motion smoother. Buying monitors are tough at this price. I picked this over a 4k monitor because 4k at anything like 144Hz is demo only in 2016 and likely to be very, very expensive even in late 2017.I bought a Dell monitor because of the number of dead pixel reports for its competitors. I went for build quality and got it. No dead pixels and zero light bleed after 2-3 weeks so no replacement hassles. Others monitors have features like monitor gun sight overlays for no scoping in FPS games, mode setups and monitor chassis lighting, this has nothing like that. If the monitor could overlay a sight with a firmware upgrade, DELL, that would be worth something to me.The static image is pretty good out of the box but not significantly better than my old HP 2310 IPS monitor. That said, IPS panels are supposed to be prettier at slower speeds so this was not be a surprise and its there isn't much in it. I might tweak the monitor setup knowing the factory defaults are ok. The viewing angle is irrelevant to me because its primarily games I play on this so I tend to be looking right at it rather than at 160 degrees off.Didn't come cheap but I could have paid a lot more for similar or worse which is why anyone buys Dell.Solid, sensible decision and I'm happy with it.

Nice simple looking monitor that suffers with complete blacks
Good quality monitor very crisp and clear. Only thing stopping this being a 5 star product is the fact that the blacks are very pixelated on this TN screen. Viewing angles are fine however and the refresh rate (G-Sync) feature is very good.

Great Monitor - wouldn't believe it's not IPS!
I had reservations about buying this monitor, as I had been using an IPS monitor previously. There are some negative reviews on the site about it, but I've not had any issues with it. I did have to download the ICC profile from tftcentral and adjust the monitor colour settings. Also, I disabled deep sleep, as I saw a few reviews where this had been an issue. The monitor is great, no viewing angle issues, stand is sturdy as I have come to expect from Dell. G-Sync is amazing, I have a MSI GFX 1060 6GB driving this at 2560x1440 at 144Hz - amazing. I play StarCraft 2, averages at 144FPS consistently hits 200+FPS with ultra settings and no tearing.I was contemplating the Asus 27" IPS version, but read quite a few IPS glowing issues - didn't want to risk it.The other cool thing, is that the sound goes through both the DP and HDMI, so I have connected speakers and headphones (two ports on monitor) to the monitor and when I switch between Work laptop and 'Home' computer - the sound will switch too, no more changing cables! The sound is driven from the Nvidia GFX - I can't tell any difference, but not a sound buff.

Unfortunately I had bad experience with this monitor
Unfortunately I had bad experience with this monitor. I never had problems with Dell monitors but this unit wasn't for me. Specifications are great for that price, but after few days of using i was starting to have problems with my eyes, panel in this monitor was too "grainy" for me. Be aware also to have high "banding" in this monitor, Im not sure because of TN panel or something else.If "grainy" coating and some "banding" its not a problem for you go and buy it, if is I cannot recommend it

Grew to love it
At first I was not sure of this monitor, too bright, hurt eyes and got headaches. In game was not sure it improved over old monitor (which was great) ie asus p2450 lcd 24" 1920x1080. Also could not see much improvement from gsync or higher resolution. Having used it for a while now and having moved from 144hertz screen refresh rate to 120 , and calibrating monitor, adjusting brightness etc ,..I can say now it is an excellent monitor.Skyrim does look much better, as does Doom, farcry4 and gtav. Smooth gameplay yes and better than previous monitor but not really blown away as much as upgrading from gtx 670 to gtx 1060.You do need to spend time calibrating and tweeking settings for games to get best. If upgrading from old monitor then that would be more noticeable imho. Most wow factor for me was increase in size from 24" to 27", lots of desktop space and wide view in game,( X3 actually made me say wow) but needs tweeking to your prefs.

TN panel isn't great, it's worth paying the extra for an IPS.
Being a TN panel the colours aren't as good as my U2412M. I'm only running a GTX770 so can't select 144hz refreshes, only 120hz.I'm actually a bit disappointed in the colours on this screen, it's worth paying the extra for an IPS G-Sync!

Highly recommended
It's a lovely monitor. I spent quite a while pondering whether or not to go for a g-sync monitor, but I'm glad I did. People claim you can't notice any difference with g-sync, or that if you can it isn't worth the cost. I would disagree. While there is a very rare stutter, running something like BF1 is very smooth even with a varying frame rate from 90 fps to 130 fps depending on how much is happening in my view. I'm very happy with my purchase, it was easy to assemble and the height adjustment works very well.
