Dynamo: The Book of Secrets

This is the best magic book on the market, I've been a magician for 7 years and I've read many books. Royal Road to card magic, expert at the card table etc, all those books took me months to understand because the explanations were not clear. When I read this book I was able to understand everything right off the bat, the explanations were on point and the pictures on how to hold the cards and how to position them are very clear. The book also teaches you flourishes, I was never able to throw cards until I read Dynamos book the illustrates and explanations were so good I got it the first time I tried after many years of failing.The best part of this book is that it contains tricks/methods that will even fool the best magicians in the world, I've read the book and when I saw the methods taught I got fooled. If you're a beginner great place to start and if you're advanced you'll learn new techniques and methods. Buy it now you won't regret it.

Dynamo is amazing. Contents of book are great. It is unreadable in kindle because it isnt in the correct formatt. Please fix!

This is such a good book.Because it is inspiring and the magic effects are reliable and reproducible -- so you get results. This will teach you how to *do tricks*.However, the real gold is between the lines. Because the author has a passion for magic and he writes well.Anyone can copy a video of a trick -- but what the author guides you towards in this book is how to go beyond that, just a few seconds of puzzlement, and into a magical moment that people will remember. This is subtle stuff. The effect, and the performance.And what will make it unique is your own spin on the effect.And that's what you get with this book.The hints, the pushes, the encouragement to take it beyond the mere effect. Amazing book, loved it and taught me all about and how to do some of Dynamo's great tricks. From freezing a bottle in front of your spectator's eyes, to all the flourishes you need to know for a great magic trick. Plus, if you like secrets, this book has tons of them hidden between the lines and could even reveal a hidden trick! (I've had the book for ages now and I've only just found one)Overall a great read and I highly recommend it!

I'd give this a 5/10. As a children's beginner's book, it's OK. I like the fact that there's cut outs of things you might need within the book, and it was cheap enough to buy as a bit of a whim. If you've got an 8 to 10 year old, I think they'd love it. The tricks aren't the best though, and there's better books out there that teach things like false cuts, double lifts etc a lot better, even for kids of that age.

The book has very easy to do features with progessing harder tricks so you dont bore easily. There are also little parts where the origins of the trick came from which is a nice bit of trivia and just adds that extra.
