it's a very beautiful bowl and certainly looked sturdy and well-built, until about a week in when one day i woke up and the wood had begun to just split! it hadn't been exposed to water or heat, hadn't been dropped, nothing at all. just sat on my counter with fruit in it and now is split in two places.

The wood cracked down the bottom a few days after the bowl was received. Returning because the quality doesn't reflect the price.

This bowl is gorgeous. It is made to perfection and very versatile. I ordered it to use as a centerpiece on my dining room table. I added greenery and a glass candle holder with a battery operated candle in the center. It is everything and more that I envisioned. This bowl can be used in the kitchen too...a very upscale look. The designer added a very nice note, which I found very informative and thoughtful.

This is a great fruit bowl for those looking for a good quality bowl, large enough to actually fit all your fruit (mine is currently holding 1 butternut squash, 1, acorn squash, 5 apples, 8 bananas and some lemons and limes. Honestly, whenever I buy a bowl, they end up being very very small and barely hold my produce. I would highly recommend.
