Sturdy. Grips provide extra traction, work much better than the wire type for ice on flat walking surfaces. Form nicely to footwear.

Ordered these a week or two back. Wore them on my work boots to clear snow in my driveway. Had some icy spots with packed down snow. They worked well in keeping my feet from slipping on the snow. They do hold quite a bit of snow between the chains, but that doesn't keep them from working well! Would buy them again if need be or another set for another pair of shoes/boots.

I've tried several different cleats/crampons that are fit over/tied onto your shoes/boots. These leave them all in the dust. While the others I've tried break and bend and collect ice/mud/weeds/muck (I have a farm, so animal poop is a frequent occurrence), these do not. They can be easily cleaned off with a boot brush at the door of any gunk that does get into the links. They don't have sharp points that will cut into your floors, and the chains offer superior traction compared to crampons that sit only under the ball of your foot.Note that these are NOT a "perfect" solution for walking on slippery surfaces! (I doubt such a thing exists, so I didn't expect it, and you shouldn't, either.) You can still slide on ice, but that's true of all the others I've tried, as well -- these are less likely to slide, though, especially since they don't build up stuff that negates the gripping power. With a little caution while you're walking, they will minimize how much you slide. They are also hazardous for walking on tile, bare wood, or linoleum as the chains will let you slide on those smooth surfaces, but again, a little caution and you'll be fine.The only thing I might dock a few points for is that they do tend to run a little small. I got the X-Large for my farm boots, which are men's size 11. According to the sizing guide, that should have been a Large. I would NEVER have gotten a Large on my boots. It took 2-3 minutes of stretching to get the X-Large on, and they curl the toes of my boots up, which is slightly uncomfortable after first putting the boots on (but they stretch out again after a little bit of walking). The X-Large fit nicely (slightly loose) on my sneakers, men's size 10.5 (which the sizing guide would also put at a Large -- I would guess that the Large would have to be stretched over the sneakers like the X-Large had to be over my boots).

Ice and snow are not my friends. I have these on my boots all the time and not one worry of slipping and falling. Definitely a bit tough to get on, easy to remove. I find this product to be worth every cent.

These things make winter sidewalk walking possible! 98% of the time, these cleats will prevent you from slipping on the ice. If the ice is really smooth, the cleats just make it less slippery, but you can still slip. I can walk confidently and quickly on the icy sidewalks near my home. I love these things! Snow also does not get clogged in them. Easy to put on as well!

Good fit, good price point. Well made and durable. I ordered a large and my boot size is 9 mens. Better to order larger than you need as you will be putting them on winter boots. Cheaper than other brands.

I've had these for a couple of years now, but only have used them a few times. Our driveway is a hill, with the steepest grade incline at 13%. Hubby wanted to do a quick shoveling before going to the gym in his gym shoe, sure enough he slide down our driveway as he was trying to shovel - I went out and put these on his gym shoes, and from slipping to full on traction, made it a quick shovel day! Highly recommend. so you don't have to buy a whole new boot that will likely still slip a little bit, and these an be put on closed toes shoes, then take off and go about your day without having to put away your boots!
