Starts my Dodge Charger SRT Hemi
My Dodge Charger has a large 850 CCA battery. Other jumpers would not start my car. This is a great and affordable option. Saved my day already.

Magic box indeed
Was coincidence, but ordered this 2 weeks before I started having battery problems. Excellent charger, starts first crank. Didn't get stranded and was able to get new battery. Let alone for yourself, you can help anyone in need, easily. Good buy, thanks!

A back up plan that's also a power bank
I keep a LARGE duffel bag in the trunk with, amongst several other things like a 2.5 gallon gas can, a set of 16' traditional jumper cables & a few-year-old-and-used-a-few-times self jumper similar to this one. While the older one still shows a charge, I don't think after a few years (left in a hot trunk, left in a cold trunk...just left in the car for 3+ years) and multiple jumps (mostly on other people's cars...my car, only once...) that it has the same battery capacity as it once did.I'm all about redundancies, so by having BOTH self-jumpers (along with the traditional jumper cables), I don't see how I can be stranded OR not be able to help out someone that is in need of assistance. I plan for both scenarios.Again though, this is part of a multi-front approach to avoiding being stranded (or not being able to help a stranded motorist), and plus this doubles as a power bank, which in my 20+ year driving history, is needed FAR more often than a jump (for me at least).

Small but powerful
Last weekend, after having the motorcycles in storage for a couple weeks, we had to go back to move them around to accommodate another bike. One of the bikes wouldn't start up. There was some grumbling and cussing because the bike in question wasn't where a car could be driven up to jump it.I finally went home and got this, then brought it back.I handed it to my husband, who looked at it skeptically. But, after looking it over, he decided to give it a try. He really had no choice, lol.Well, it worked. It had enough charge out of the box to start the motorcycle. There were a few surprised faces, let me tell you. Then, we used the VERY bright flashlight to check all the covers and such before closing up the barn. After the motorcycles were rearranged and everything was right in the world again, my husband and sons stood around looking at this thing. First question was: "Where did you get this?"They liked the digital read out. They liked having a charging option in the car and they liked how small it was. They like being able to take the power to jump start a car TO the car without having to take another car to it. Plus, it was perfect for the very narrow and small space they had to work with in that moment. We have a covertible, some motorcycles and a riding mower in storage and the biggest hassle of the spring is when we get in there and half the batteries are dead.Immediately, everyone commented that this would be perfect for when we get stuff out of storage in spring. They also commented that it's nice to have handy in the garage because, sometimes, we get caught off guard by a snowstorm and someone's car gets snowed in and the battery dies. Getting another car to it isn't possible until the drive gets cleared. To be able to take this over TO the vehicle is going to be very nice. It's sometimes a challenge move the various cars into position to jump start. And don't get me started on the number of times a car battery died on a car that was parked right up close to a job and there was no open space on either side of the car.For the most part, our batteries are pretty reliable, and we tend to keep on top of replacing them when needed. BUT, we are also often asked to help jump start cars for our sons' friends, girlfriends, our nieces and nephews and some of the older neighbors around here.So why did I get this? My son has a parasitic drain on one of his bikes and sometimes, when we're on a long ride, his battery won't start after it sits a few hours. This is going into our bike trunk, for emergencies like this, lol.My guys aren't gadget guys. They are builders, mechanics, welders, etc. and they keep their tool chests simple. But they all said it will be handy to have around.
