PQ-6143-00 : TUSQ Nut Slotted 1 11/16"

The (Nubone) nut that came on my Vintage V100 AFD was cut way to deep so I bought this one to replace it , I got the pre slotted nut because I didn’t want to buy expensive nut files for just one nut .After a little sanding and fitting this new nut has been a big improvement compared to the Nubone nut that came on the guitar.Hard to explain but The tone of the guitar improved big time after replacing the Nubone nut .While I had both nuts off the guitar I did the drop test and believe it or not you could here the tonality difference between the two nutsthe Nubone nut had a dull thud sound while the new nut had a bright chime sound.Never thought a new nut would make such a difference for the better in the sound of the guitar but it dang sure did..

I put this on an Epiphone Hummingbird Pro that already sounded good. It replaced a stock plastic nut. I was surprised at how much brighter and more musical the new nut sounds compared to stock. With proper sanding an string notching, it also slightly improved the action. open strings ring out with great tone and "chime" compared to stock.

Installed this on a 45 year old Ibanez Standard " Les Paul " . Nice upgrade . Also installed one on a Strat awhile back . Nice upgrade from original plastic nuts .

This was my first time installing a nut on my own. This was super easy and the material is great. I have the same one on my strat. I had someone install it before and it cost around 40 bucks plus the part itself. Installed this one on my own and only took about 40 min or so. Easy to install and fit perfectly. Also these sound great and were a huge upgrade to my guitar.

After some modification and slot height adjustment this nut provided increased sustain and improved harmonics. Makes the guitar sound great.

It is easy to install and improve your sound greatly.Do not hesitate to try this item!

go to graph tech website to get exact dimensions and product #. happy with item. Replaced saddle, nut, bridge pins, and strings at the same time. Guitar sounds better but, not sure if only nut by itself would have much of an effect.

Works for 30 seconds only. Bad copy. Don’t waste your money with this. Get the original Apple.
