32 PCS HSS Tap and Die Set Metric M3 - M12 Hand Threading Tool Tungsten Carbide Tap Die Screw Thread Making Tool Bit Set

I never used the taps so no comments there, however, the die have little to no tapper - so much so it's virtually impossible to tell which is the feeding end. These struggled to cut even mild steel rod and snapped a thread off in the die because there was too much friction due to the lack of tapper with too little cutting. I think it would have been easier to use a hardened nut. The real deal breaker is the die handle. The rods are extremely small and difficult to hold. Each side unscrewed constantly though perhaps some thread locker would help there. The screws holding the die in only had about two threads into the soft aluminum handle, wouldn't keep the die from rotating or falling out, and the screws themselves kept falling out until after about the fourth insertion, they ripped out completely. This is simply the worst die set and handle I've ever seen or used. Perhaps others here are worse, but this is unusable. Gratefully Amazon will take these back. Hard to find a reasonably priced set these days unfortunately. Guess I'll be spending more to get something that works.

Better than most on here for this price range, but nothing amazing. Good for the price if you have to tap a few things.

I'm using it primarily to tap plastic (3d-printed parts), but it's been wonderful to have.

Very good quality for the price. Did a good job tapping some holes and threading some rod on a tractor lever fabrication project at home.
