Plug and Play on my 2008 Audi A6 (no Nav)
I bought this to stream Pandora and have Waze directions through the stereo system. I also have used it for hands free cell conversations with my iPhone 6 with good clarity. The audio via Pandora is near CD quality even though the audio is processed via the internal DACs on the phone. Certainly good enough given the interior background noise profile on the highway. This cable does not charge. I use another cable with the Lightning plug that goes to a lighter socket. I routed the cables down along the inside edge of the dash with small cable management stickies I bought at Staples. I then tucked them up under the console to try to dress them as best I could. My phone is held with the Miracase MM-184 vent mount holder. Which BTW is also great. Bottom line, I'm very happy with the purchase and performance.

Added AUX Input for 2015 VW
My screen died on the infotainment system for my 2015 Golf Sportwagon TDI and I got a new phone which I couldn’t pair to BT without the screen. Bought this to plug into an external CarPlay screen and it works great.

Easy set up and works GREAT!!
I'm kind of a low tech person. I could have bought the bluetooth but this was only 12 bucks vs 85. I plug it in my perfectly fine (old) android or mp3/4 player and I'm in OLD SCHOOL HEAVEN!!! Great value.

Sound quality is just ok. Have to crank up the volume to use and then be sure to turn way down if switching back to regular car stereo or risk blowing the speakers!

Love this!
Ordered this for my 2015 Audi Q5. It works great and is very long so it can stretch all the way from the glove box to the back seat. Cheap price but great quality especially since the right AMI Aux cords are hard to find for Audis.

These work great (2nd one I've purchased). I found my previous one, so returned this one. Nothing wrong with it, just didn't need two of them.

Doesn't fit!
My 2011 Audi A5 has the original equipment and this comes so close to fitting, it's maddening that alas, it does not! Doesn't cost enough to justify my time returning it. However, I hope this honest information will save someone else from being taken by spending their money on a product that simply doesn't fit the iPhone connection in your vehicle!
