High-Quality, Easy to Use, and Super Versatile
I’m really impressed with the OXO SteeL Chef's Mandoline Slicer 2.0! It’s incredibly easy and safe to use, which is a big plus if you’ve ever been intimidated by mandolines in the past. The design feels solid and well-made—definitely a quality product. What I love most is the versatility. It makes a wide variety of cuts with precision, which has seriously elevated my meal prep game. From thin slices to crinkle cuts, it handles everything effortlessly. Cleanup is a breeze too—just a quick rinse and it’s good to go. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a reliable slicer that’s both efficient and safe to handle!

Best I’ve used
Great product, purchased based off of America’s Test Kitchen review of the product. Easy to use, the finger guard is sturdy and I feel safe using. The blade is sharp and cuts potato’s, onions and cucumbers well. I haven’t used the other cutting options or foods yet but it’s much quicker and uniform cutting when using. I’ve been hand washing and with the dial closed, it keeps the blade from cutting you while cleaning.

Would be a 5 except for blade
I love the features, the easily customizable slicing, for thickness, julienne, etc.; it's easily cleanable, safe, foldable for storage - I love everything about it, except the blade! I found it hard to push the food through to slice almost from the day I got it. And it has only gotten worse. I'm going to try to talk to OXO about it and maybe get a new blade to compare.

Excellent tool for the kitchen
Excellent tool for preparing fruit for the dehydrator. Razor sharp with clean cut. The cut can be varied to right size. I wanted to salvage a crop of persimmons as one just can't eat them all at once! This slicer gave perfect cuts and now enjoying the dried and frozen fruit.

The base is good, the blade is junk
I've always had good experiences with OXO, but this was a disappointment. The base, while bulky, is solid and works well. The blade, which is the most important part, is horrible. It isn't even close to sharp. Food is shredded, not sliced, causing it to jam. Using a knife is easier. Upon examination the blade isn't a smooth, straight edge. It is wavy and rough. The waviness makes sharpening it myself on a stone impossible. Unfortunately I didn't get to use it during the return period, so I'm stuck with a product I don't use.

Fast, Sharp, PAY ATTENTION
Only mandoline I have ever used, but like the sturdy base, adjustable width of slices, uniform sizes, and ease of cleaning. What I have learned so far is, slicing is done in record time, and I am at the end of the vegetable or fruit before I realize it. VERY important to use the guard that comes with it, and also purchase some knife-resistant gloves. NOT for children! Makes quick work of slicing, julienne, shredding, and other cuts, but one needs to pay attention or else you will cut yourself on any mandoline. Restaurants use them all the time. I tried to add a photo, but did not succeed, but it is beautiful when every piece is the exact same thickness and length. Pay attention and be creative! Glad I purchased it.

Sharp and lots of choices for slices
I had the original Oxo mandolin. When this new one came out, I decided to retire my old mandolin and by this one. I'm really glad I did. I have more options for slice sizes. It's very sharp and easy to keep clean. I use a glove instead of the gripper but the gripper does work really well. I love that it's easy to clean and stores easily. Also unlike the original officer, the blades are contained within the mandolin so the only blade you switch out is for wavy slices. It's so fast and so convenient. I use it all the time. One thing you should know is it is made of metal, so it should be rinsed off as soon as you're done using it especially if you're cutting tomatoes. Also because it's made of metal it is heavier than the original model, but I like that it has a good weight to it. The kickstand is really sturdy and holds the mandolin at a nice angle. All in all it was worth the money to me to upgrade

Sturdy but Inefficient
The compact design is nice, blades are sharp, has a hand guard that feels safe to use, and construction is sturdy. This does not flex as I push carrots through the blade. There are 2 drawbacks to this mandoline, each one worth a 1-star deduction. First, it is not easily cleaned as the underside has lots of nooks and crannies and the Julien blades are hidden so they can’t be easily sprayed off. Second, my biggest complaint, is that the part of the guard that holds the food is spring-loaded and does not allow food to be held by the guard after pushing it through the blade. After every pass I have to use my other hand to pick the food back up and place it back onto the cutting surface.
