lots of fire and heat from a small fire pot
As you can see in my video, this fire pot works exactly as it should. You can see the wood gasses stream back in to the flame, and burn up in streaks. The flame is nearly double the height of the pot when first lit. The build quality of the pot is fine. Its nto overly light, as the price might indicate. However it is also not heirloom grade material either. What I really like is the small size. We don't have a lot of room for stuff, as we are a family of 6 living on a postage stamp size lot, and the garage and lanai are maxed out. But the kiddos like a marshmallow roast or fire side chat from time to time, and this fits the bill. I will say, I had planned on using this in the lanai, because its smokeless. It is smokeless after it gets going, which is rather quick with the right equipment. However, it puts out so much heat, and fire, even just burning pellets, I think this is better suited, not using in a lanai. For those not living in FL, a lanai is a screened porch. Perhaps loading less pellets would make the fire smaller, and less intense. I filled this two thirds with pellets.Set up and assembly is pretty straight forward. Take the plastic off, fold the legs out, and fill with pellets, or wood. I used my mornings bacon grease paper towel as my pellet starter, I folded it into a roll, and poured the pellets all around it. I then used my heat gun, but a hair dryer would work as well, and fanned the flame for about 45 second to t a minute, until I had a roaring fire. I put way too many pellets in there. This thing probably would have burned for several hours. I tried to smother the fire with a stainless lid. The combination of air vents, and pellets, allowed a lot of smoldering for several hours. I decided to open it up and place a fan in front of it, to encourage it to burn out more quickly. Next time no more than 25% filled with pellets, unless I have time to man the fire for many hours.Ultimately, this things, looks good, and functions almost too good. It can easily be stored, and my kids love it. So its a keeper.

Very cute and well made tiny fire pit!
Be well aware that this is a very small fire pit about the size of a standard paint can. A few things that a buyer should know:This little portable pit definitely seems to be made for use with wood pellets. I fully intend to burn real wood/sticks, but be well aware that the burning chamber is only about 3.5 inches high and 4.45 inches wide, so very small sticks will be needed. This does not include any type of base, only some flip out metal feet. The pictures make it appear that something may come with it, but it's just the pit. The feet seem like they would do a decent job keeping most of the heat away from whatever it's placed on, but I definitely would not place this on anything flammable or that can burn or melt. I suggest a brick or piece of tile if you're going to put this on a table. The manual mentions an included "pellet scoop" and "fire pit mat" which did not come with my review sample. They are not mentioned in the description, but it is worth mentioning. This is not for indoor use.The construction is pretty solid without it being heavy. There is a nice little case included, but obviously if you bring this somewhere it would have to cool completely before you'd be able to pack it up.It would have been really nice if there was an alternate top with slots to allow this to be used as a little stove. The size and shape are perfect for it so this seems like kind of an oversight from the manufacturer since it really wouldn't increase the cost. I'm sure anyone who picks this up may be able to modify it slightly to allow it to be used as a little stove.

Works great and built very well
Great tiny smokeless fire pit. a bit spendy for its size, but this type of fire pit always seems to be a bit high. works great, easy to store and clean out.

Its fun but expensive
This is like the solo mesa stove. It is fun to use. It definitely is a better price than the solo and it works just the same.I still think this item is pricey for what you get. It is very fun to use though.I used this stove/fire pit this weekend camping - the best way to use it with wood pellets is to top load and burn from the top. Fill the entire chamber up with pellets to just under the ring of air holes on the inside. pour about 1 tablespoon of isopropyl alcohol on the top and light a match to it. It has full ignition in less than 2 minutes and will have a flame burn for about 42-45 minutes. It does not get super warm but rather its for looks in my opinion. I will still take my propane fire ring camping.

Nice compact tabletop fire pit
If you like the smokeless fire pit designs, but want something more bite sized this is where it's at. A handful of twigs and some paper will result in a very nice fire, perfect for roasting marshmallows without the bundles of wood requirement. The metal quality feels nice, not too thin or prone to denting. The outer painted body is consistent without missing sections. Everything easily stores back into the fire pit, and goes into a nylon sack for storage:
