Do the napkins work and clean your hands, yes. They do a good job with that. is this a practical fabric and style for napkins? No. The manufacturer recommends washing by hand and then it states to "wash at a low temp". Not sure if they mean dry at a low temp or wash by hand with warm water. Either way, washing napkins you use daily by hand is not practical. It's a time waster.But if you choose to wash them in your washer, they will look like mine, all frayed and tattered with strings dangling from the cloth. You might, no, you WILL get stray strands stuck to your clothes. Anyway, they need to be ironed, strings cut off--everytime.

These arrived on time and came with a little pouch of twine and a thank you card. I just love the extra touch. The material is soft and really well made. I love them. 💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

These beautiful, soft linen napkins are perfect for a nice addition to my dining experience. They are very soft, which is a nice attribute for something you are wiping your mouth with at dinner. I doubt if I will hand wash these, but I will put them in the washing machine’s hand wash setting with Woolite, along with my other cloth napkins. I like the little burlap cording that was included - a nice touch.After washing, I noticed many of the strings from the fringed edges needed to be trimmed off. I also pulled the napkins out of the dryer (low setting) and flattened them out, which helped me avoid having to iron them.

Love the deep, rich green color and the rustic look of these but - beware. The rough edges fray and get on EVERYTHING when you wash/dry. They also tend to stain.
