Schleich Shansy Playset

These are absolutely stunning models. They are not cheap but then the attention to detail is extraordinary. Schleich are known for their great models and educational toys but this line of dragons and their riders takes their product quality to another level. I think they are hand painted, they certainly have that quality about them. They are solid built and there are no visible seams. I'm not sure how these models are made or put together but they are not hollow.The artwork is gorgeous. I originally bought a set of these dragons for my children, but when they were delivered to my office my colleagues were intensely jealous. It was hard to give them to the kids because these could definitely be used as both toys and works of art to put on a shelf.They come well packaged. In fact it took me several minutes to free the models from the box. They are wrapped in tissue paper and that is a sure sign of the quality that awaits when the box is unpacked.The riders can be separated from the dragon. They are not fully articulated. In fact in this one the child's arm moves and that is all. If you are buying for a young child / toddler then I would suggest keeping the rider away somewhere safe as the arm can be pulled off. Alternatively you can glue it in place.Any one who receives this as a gift like this will be overjoyed; adults and children alike. Anyone thinking of buying for themselves should not be put off by the price as these will definitely take pride of place in anyones collection.

Great, but the little guy does not stay on for more than a few seconds when the dragon is 'flown' about the room by my son. He loosely fits on the top. Oh , and each dragon's rider prob won't fit another dragon, we tried. The newer ones have little magnets - but this one does not.

We love these dragons and riders. Great for play anywhere, including the bath. The detailing on these is amazing, as you would expect from this company, and they come really well packaged, so well packaged that it stayed as part of the whole dragon world for quite a long time.

Wonderful! Better than in the picture, a lot of details. My son is really happy for his dragon. He loves to play with.
