Easy assembly, looks very pretty, double check the sizing, smaller than it looks.

It’s perfect for our needs. We have a pet free range chicken who needed her own shelter. It is not weather proof but, we placed it on our back patio which is covered. It was super easy to assemble- I did it myself. You do need a drill though. The wood is very thin and light weight...not great for providing warmth if you’re looking for that. The kids and I had fun painting it and making it our own.

You will need to cut support pieces for the left and right flooring. Just 2x4s at like 3 inches. The middle comes with them but I have a 130 lb dog and he would have snapped the other two floorboards. Other than that great deal. Looks great. He loves it.

Okay SO you will need a drill if you want to attach the top part that opens and closes. You will also need a drill to attach the feet if you don’t want them falling off when you move it. It was easy to assemble all by myself but my roommate still needs to drill the remaining screws.This was absolutely perfect for my puppy and I think it’s ideal with the top off or up and opened so she won’t feel so closed in. I bought a chew resistant cord so she can’t get out which works great! I put a washable waterproof blanket folded up for the bottom to lay on as a bed and so far no accidents! She has plenty of growing room too. She’s a pitbull and I’m attaching some pictures.I’m happy I bought this! 😄

Perfect house to hide a litter box, I highly recommend it!I had some fun with painting, decorating & customizing mine. I added a light for night time scooping & mounted the biodegradable littler bag roll with a wooden wine box. I left the hinged front gate off & the locking bracket for the lid didn’t allowing for it to open all the way so I took it off. (I put felt strips on the lid so it won’t scuff the wall) Neither are needed & removing them didn’t compromise the appearance or the functionality.The gaps in the floorboards are few millimeters wide so I lined the bottom with a thick plastic removable drawer liner to prevent litter from falling through. I have a 20bs Maine Coon so he needs a larger litter box with higher walls & he has no problem entering.The holes for handles double as little windows & added ventilation. I don't think it would do well in heavy rain & definitely not a warm shack for winter.My only complaint is with the predrilled holes, one corner wasn’t lined up very well so the lid didn’t lay perfectly flat. It’s a minimal concern, I could have drilled new holes but instead I raised up the other corner with thick felt pieces.

My dogs do not like to use it.

I must say I am greatly surprised. I had ordered another wood dog bed and it was horrible and had to be returned. So I thought this is the only other wood doggie bed I'll order this one. It arrived in good packaging. The carrier didn't cause any damage (surprise, surprise). It was packed very well; tightly and securely. My daughter put it together in less than an hour. No problems with any of the pieces. As over sensitive as my dog is I thought I would have a problem with her adjusting to it. She walked right in and laid down like it was "HOME." I don't feel that any of the negative comments in other reviews were accurate; however there weren't any predrilled holes or indentations to attach the hinges for the lid...…..NO BIG DEAL; very easy fix. Me and my dog say thank you to the manufacturer!!!
