Does this fit the grohe 40444001 essentials soap dish and silver holder ?

I bought the dish for a non-Grohe fitting, after its glass dish had been broken, on seeing that the diameter of the bottom of the 40368001 made it suitable as a replacement, and it’s worked fine.

What is the diameter of the base of this soap dish?

The base is tapered from 57.14mm diameter at the bottom to 58.85mm diameter at the underside of the bowl. The bowl is 109.53mm diameter. All dimensions are approximate!!!

I have a holder grohe 40444001 essentials soap dish and silver holder, soap dish has broken, will this fit the holder grohe 40444001?

Hi Naeem The bowl fitted our existing holder but don't know what make our holder was. I just measured our existing holder which was within 2mm of the measurement described on Amazon for the Grohe soap dish. I bought the dish and it fitted perfectly. Hope this helps. Sadly, I have since accidently broken the Grohe soap dish and couldn't get another as they were our of stock! Best regards Maurice

Is there a small hole in the dish to drain water?

No, the water drips into the slight depression in the bottom. A hole would be a great improvement.
