Amazing sensor and optics. Can’t beat it for the $.
Bought two of these cameras, one for a wide angle and one for a telephoto shot to livestream church services. It does 1440p (30fps) video beautifully using usb c, with the appropriate cable and pc interface. The image is -very- sharp. I read reviews for these cameras that stated both that the optics were “fake” or “hard to move.” These people didn’t seem to figure out that the screws you use to adjust the focus, iris, and zoom rings are SET SCREWS. You must loosen the screws first, then move the ring into position, and if you wish, tighten them again. I think the set screw is a great idea because, when loosened, it’s very easy to move the ring or bump the camera out of focus — more so on the wide angle version of this camera. I can’t really think of any complaints. You cannot beat this camera for the price, if you are happy with making manual adjustments. Having said that, there is a bit of wiggle room to leave the iris full open with digital exposure adjustment (which in Windows you can leave on auto). For me, I have a a pretty static environment, it’s set it and forget it.

Really nice Camera
I have been using this for a few days now and I have found this to be a wonderful camera. The images that this is producing are very nice.I am just waiting for an adapter to see if this will function on my stereo microscope, I have my fingers crossed that it will, having said that, I have already hooked this up to my monitor to be able to scan items so that I can see them in detail, and I have to say it is doing that job, wonderfully.I have even tried this on my laptop through usb and it connected straight away with no issues, once again it produced wonderful images, I didn't find it as clear as it was just on the monitor, but I think that was down to me and not the camera, also, possibly down to the drivers and software used by the laptop, whereas the monitor doesn't have those kind of constraints, it is basically an image produced by the HDMI port, therefore less faff, Unfortunately I cannot record the images produced that way, hence the need to plug it into the laptop. The device itself feels, extremely well made and very robust, even the leads provided feel really nice. All in all a very nice usb / HDMI camera, Highly recommended.

Good quality, solid unit. Features both USB and HDMI outputs.
In a nutshell:Things I liked:+ First things first, this is an extremely useful camera. It is a fully self-contained camera - I have had similar cameras to this in the past which have been very bare bones. This is a fully housed camera, and quite a powerful one considering the size.+ It's noticeably heavy and feels pretty well made. The metal frame is great for mounting pretty much anywhere, and I am very confident that it will be suitable for a range of mounting locations, although probably not outdoors!+ The image quality is excellent. There's very little distortion and it is in genuine 4K. I've been able to get 4K both via a USB and HDMI connection. It is possible to access both the USB and HDMI connections at the same time.+ Very easy to get started. recognised instantly by Windows via the camera app and OBS when used with the usb connection, HDMI through a USB C to HDMI capture card was similarly good quality.Things I didn't like:- While the included HDMI and USB cables aren't particularly long, the camera features standard USB C and HDMI ports on the back, meaning you can use your own cables. However, I didn't have much success with a USB C to USB C cable and it only worked properly with the USB C to USB A cable. I don't know if that's just my setup, but I definitely think it's worth flagging up at this stage.- The camera does get noticeably warm during use.- The price is high. If all you need is a basic webcam, this is probably overkill. However, most webcams in the lower price brackets do not include HDMI out.Do I recommend it?Yes. Getting an equivalent camera with both HDMI and USB out is significantly more expensive than a standard webcam. This provides decent image quality and a sturdy frame. It's essentially quite a bare bones system, but it works plug-and-play with Windows and OBS in particular.
