Whirlpool 285810 Agitator Cam

I wasn’t sure if this would fit properly and to my surprise it was the correct part! Now my washing machine agitator works again.

Seems to be working great. Has everything to fix the ratchet mechanism on my Kenmore washing machine. Simple to replace, took about 10 minutes total and it includes all the parts you need. Dont just replace the pawls or dogs, for a couple dollars more you get all the parts under the cap and plastics can become brittle over time so this fixes everything. Hey if you got to open her up, you might as well replace all the parts when putting back together. It makes it easier to put back together because everything is clean and shiny. Easy job, Just pop the top cap with something thin like a small flat head screwdriver or kitchen knife. Then you will see a half inch square ratchet size fitting so remove that and the top pawl retainer will lift off and you will see the broken and worn pawls so just remove everything. Then replace and rebuild with the new parts from this set and voila.

I have an older Kenmore Model # 110.28932790 washing machine and this kit took about five minutes to replace and worked without a hitch. Delivery was as advertised. It is nice to know it was a OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Part. You can watch videos on YouTube to see how to remove and installed this kit. Anybody can do it and save at least $50-$75 minimum. Because my machine is about 20 years old I though it was a good idea instead of just replacing the Dog Agits. If all you need is the Dog Agits the Part number would be 80040.

Super easy to change this out and was able to get the washing machine agitating again, and stopping it from making some horrible racket.

These worked 100% in my Kenmore 110.28902790 washing machine. Easy install, just a flat blade screw driver and a half inch extension and ratchet. The "bolt" is a square drive that the extension fits perfectly into. I actually did mine by hand without the ratchet as they are plastic parts and are not tightened to the point that required the ratchet for leverage. 5 minute install time. Instantly fixed the non-moving upper portion of the agitator.
