Great knife!
At first I was a little reluctant to purchase this knife because of the handle design but I liked the looks of it so I decided to give it a try. I am very glad I did! The handle is surprisingly (to me) very comfortable to hold and gives good control (and I have medium to large hands). It is very sharp out of the box and the fit and finish of the handle is excellent. Of course, how the edge holds up is yet to be seen as I have only been using it for several weeks. That said, up to this point I haven't noticed any need for sharpening or honing. If you are out of space in your knife block like I am, the sheath/saya does its job extremely well and it looks nice too. It is well designed and the magnet holds on to the blade with just the right amount of tenacity to keep the blade in place so you don't have to worry about it getting nicked or scratched up in your drawer. Great knife for the smaller jobs of veggie prep etc.

Makes all of my German forged steel knives obsolete
This is the first Swedish steel knife I've bought and I'm already in love with Swedish steel. I first saw these Swedish steel knives as a recommendation from Amazon. I hadn't heard of Swedish steel before, so I had to do a little research on steel. Here's the basics on the different steels used for higher quality knives. German forged steel is the one most people are familiar with. German forged steel is hard, but not so hard that it makes the blade brittle. It holds a nice edge and also stands up to just about any kitchen cutting you need to do. It can dull a little faster than a harder steel, but it also is easier to sharpen. Japanese steel is also very common for knives. It is very hard steel which means you can get a razor sharp edge on it, but it's also brittle. You could easily take a big chunk out of the blade trying to cut through a bone with a Japanese steel knife, but it also makes the thinnest, finest cuts you can imagine. Because of the hardness of it, these need to be professionally sharpened. Then there's Swedish steel. It's harder than German steel, but not as hard as Japanese steel. It can stand up to tougher cutting tasks without worrying about gouging the blade, but can hold a much sharper edge much longer than German steel. Now about this knife in particular. I was concerned about the handle being a little thin and not being able to get a good grip on it. It feels comfortable in the hand and didn't slip at all when my hands were wet. The wood sheath is an excellent addition and absolutely necessary to keep the knife in. With a blade as sharp as this, I would hate to accidentally brush a finger across it in a drawer. I used this particular knife to slice a chicken breast for a sandwich. It cut through the chicken like nothing. I used to love my Cangshan German steel knives. That love affair is over now that they make Swedish steel knives.

It is a Swedish steel but made in China. Good quality knife, very sharp when it came. Magnetic clip is useless. Good grip, I use this knife alot for cutting vegetables. It is a keeper.

Nice and comfortable knife
I love this knife, very comfortable in the hand with the large sloping beveled edges from the handle to the blade. I have a sharpening routine so it will stay sharp. The handle is different than most other knives, it is slim, straight and is flat sided rather than rounded. The decorative pin is a nice touch. Would be 5 stars but the blade is already obviously scratched after very minimal use.
