Light, loud, versatile and altogether splendid
I've tried this amp out with several acoustic instruments (primarily concertina and flute, but also bouzouki and vocals), and in both rehearsal and gig situations, and am seriously impressed. The sound is really clean, with the possibility to amend it through the built in effects (only chorus and reverb) and a 3-band EQ on each of the two channels. There are also four preset global 'cabinet' EQs, all of which other than the default seem a bit redundant to me. The anti-feedback facility works well in situations that would have caused issues with my fairly ancient previous amp. Both channels offer hybrid jack/XLR connectors. The back panel offers a useful selection of aux in and out, a headphones socket, a 3.5mm MP3 in, and an XLR out for onwards connection to a PA or another amp.The cabinet is well made and looks and feels like it should stand up to the rigours of gigging. The various knobs and buttons feel like quality components, and the carry handle is good and sturdy. The finish of the amp is a bit more chocolate-brown in real life than it looks in the pictures on the Amazon and Laney websites; doesn't bother me at all and looks stylish, but was a bit of a surprise when I first unboxed it so worth mentioning.I am really pleased with this purchase, would recommend to anyone looking for an acoustic amp. There's no gig bag manufactured specifically for the A-Solo, but I've put mine in a Cobra padded bag (ASIN B0055OII9Q) which works well for me.

Excellent Take anywhere mini PA/Amp.
What I really like about this amp is its attention to detail. I use it for a nylon strung harp. The onboard graphic equaliser, reverb and cab effects, allow one to shape such a unique, distinctive tone, with clarity. The fact that the 2nd input has a fully independent set of tone shape controls, makes this acoustic amp so versatile. Makes an excellentPractise amp at low volume. Great to take to an open mic put through the main Pa so you can fine tune your tone. On its own. It’s easily powerful enough delivering a full 60watts, for a small intimate gig 30-50 people talking all over it, holds its own, or a wee presentation using a mic. Vocal clarity is really good too. I went and bought a tripod stand for it. The projection is really good. I have used it outside in a field, in the country side. The video recording, using a mobile phone, had excellent audio coming from the amp, it was good enough to post on my social media with no post processing. The battery life is with out a doubt, outstanding. At home, practice can last for days before I need fresh charge. Taking it away for 3 days without the mains, supply I am that confident, 3-4 hours everyday and it’s still going to have plenty of juice left. So the one thing to consider is, it’s not an entirely quiet amp with no instrument playing. There is a slight amount of white noise. Noticeable as the volume is turned up. There seems to be no way to completely eradicate this. It seems to be a natural white noise. Once playing it disappears and can not be heard. I have heard this on other Amos too.Be mindful of effects pedals and boards, going directly into the inputs, these can cause grounding issues that create a noticable hum.I mention the white noise because it took me by surprise, I was expecting it to be completely silent. I am told it is fairly common for amps to have some degree of white noise. For recording straight into adesk, it is not present.I still give it five stars because it’s a cracking little amp 8kg weight, sound is mint, portable and very good build quality. I highly recommend. Solo artist/ busking/open mics/intimate performances/open air anywhere playing for enjoyment, this could be ideal for you.

Lots of useful and practical features.
I chose this amp because both channels have identical features and effects. I've found most other acoustic amps have one fully featured channel and the second is usually a dumbed down compromise with less eq. The d.i. out is an xlr and is selectable for pre or post eq. The reverb is good quality for a single control version. The chorus is good if you don't overdo it. I like having a mute switch and a dedicated effects loop is also a bonus. I won't use the footswitch socket but it's a thoughtful addition. Weight and size are perfect for a gigging musician. The lack of battery power doesn't bother me when this amp kicks out 60w. It is not pole mountable which some online reviews suggest but I only mention that to help others. I've used it for a month for practice only and so far it's ideal.

Quality
I’ve had a few acoustic amps but this one is the best so far. Compact but with excellent sound quality and features. I recommend purchasing the optional foot pedal to turn on and off the reverb and chorus. I’ve used the DI out directly in to a recording device and it works really well - tricky to ensure volumes are correct though.

Very nice tone with a lot of convenience
Bought this to go with a guitar which has both magnetic and piezo pickups. I thought I might need some kind of amp modelling to get a good electric sound, but if you are happy with a rounded jazz tone, it sounds great. Sounds especially good when both pickups are on. Well built and the battery makes use very simple and convenient. Handle placement could be better balanced for carrying, but it's light. I have been trying to get the dedicated carry case to go with it.
