It was simple and easy to assemble. It is a sturdy piece. Little details like the finger-twist nuts as well as the organizer screw box that it came with made this a favorite garden product. We have an older one just like it and the updated tensioner cross bars are much stronger and better designed. Will only use this brand for future beds. Love it! Only room for improvement would be the rubber edging: to make it somehow adhere better to the metal so it stays in place. I just added a bit of contact cement to the inside before edging. But it is a minor thing. Review: I purchased 2 of the 4x2x2 Purple Oval beds. Very easy to assemble and very sturdy with the stabilizing rod in it. I love that it comes with the three year warranty. Love the colour! It is very vibrant. Will definitely purchase from Plant and Plot again!

I WILL buy more of these! This raised bed from Plant & Plot is great. 1: 8x2x2 is my preferred size and these are actually 2 feet tall. Others that I have purchased and seen sold online are actually only 17 inches tall, the 8x2x2 being only a description. 2: this item is fairly sturdy and even though it came with a rubber gasket to put around the top edge I may not use it because the panels have sort of a rolled edge and are not sharp. 3: most of this size planter comes with reinforcement bars to keep the sides from bulging but they are usually two one foot pieces that must be screwed together in the middle. This brand is the only one I’ve seen that has solid two foot bars! 4: I love ❤️ the tongue and slot design that replaces 2/3 of the screws which made this sooo much easier to assemble than the four raised beds that I bought last year! The remaining screws that do need to be used appear to be high quality but it remains to be seen if they will promptly rust. So far I really like this product and plan to buy a couple more of them this year!

We found this solution to the animal problem and we couldn't be more pleased. Plus it comes in color so it doesn't look so industrial in the yard. We got a late start this year installing it because we cruise too much, but it is now all set up and ready. We have some bush beans in the soil right now that we hope to harvest in the fall, along with some lettuce and radishes. We had a small issue with some scratches on one of the panels that occurred during shipping, and the folks at Plant and plot went over the top in rectifying the issue. Customer service of this level is so rare these days, and we applaud Plant and Plot for being there for us. As a suggestion, we put 1/4" square opening hardware cloth on the ground before loading the planter with logs, wood chips and soil to thwart the vermin from burrowing up from below. The varmints can be so persistent! This solution does not inhibit earthworms and other soil creatures from getting into the planter and also allows for drainage. We originally started with the wire cloth and weedmat, but realized the weedmat might block the worms from getting in so we removed that weedmat before the filling got too deep. The hardware cloth extends out beyond the edges/sides of the planter about 2 inches and the planter sits on this hardware cloth to hold it down. Assembly was easy. The panels all start connecting together with interlocking tabs followed up with screws and large thumbnuts. I had a drive bit that I put in my drill to quickly screw the bolts into the nuts which sped up the assembly. The planter has internal cross bracing to keep the long sides from bowing out from the soil inside. It will limit somewhat the ability to use any sort of "rototiller" device in the spring to turn over the soil, but it is not that big of an issue as long as you don't till too deep. In conclusion we cannot recommend this product enough. We're looking for a location in the yard to put in another one. Bob & Leslie
