79 F150 351M. Edelbrock AVS 2 not quite like EFI but VERY close!
I bought this carb to replace a Holley. I've always had Holleys on the 351M in my truck, but decided to try the Edelbrock because of the fuel delivery method on the AVS2. I could not be more pleased with the improvement. The Edelbrock responds immediately to the gas pedal. It does not stumble at all and accelerates smoothly and strong. The overall performance has improved dramatically since installing this carb.The engine is also running much more smoothly and even the exhaust tone is better than with the Holleys. To be fair, my guess is that I was just never able to get the Holleys tuned just right so this is not being critical of Holley carbs. I just lack that skill set to tune those carbs and the Edelbrock seems to be good out of the box. I only had to make slight adjustments to the idle speed screws.Another plus for me is that the Edelbrock is wider but not as deep as the Holleys. I have an electronic distributor that is larger than the OE distributor and with the Holleys it has always been really tight between the carb and the distributor. With the Edelbrock, I have at least an inch or so between them. It makes adjusting timing easier. I also added the Edelbrock 9265 heat insulator gasket which lifts the carb maybe a 1/4 inch which also helps with clearance.I gave it a 3 for installation ease because on the Fords it requires another kit (1483) for the C6 automatic transmission kick down bar to attach to the carb. It took some adjusting and getting a longer adjustment screw for this, but with some tinkering it works perfectly. Nothing really hard about the install, but it does require some fiddling to make everything work smoothly on the Ford.I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

Improvement over 1406
Bought a 1906 to replace a 1406. Easy tuning. On an AMC 360. Much more responsive, car ran cooler, starts were less cranking and easier. Hot starts were much better. Drove 850 miles in 3 days with temperatures in 90s. Car ran better than it ever did with the 1406. Nothing else was changed just went from a 1406 to the 1906.

Great Product. Fit was perfect.
Fit perfectly on my 73 corvette stock manifold. No adapter needed. Would buy again. Only problem was delivery because of UPS. They tried to deliver it once. Took two other times to finally go to the up’s store and get it.

This is not a Edelbrock store or a dealer. Beware for warranty issues.
Upon tuning carburetor, I found that main jets were the wrong ones which stopped me from being able to finish tuning it. Contacted Amazon to find out who the actual seller was so they can take care of the issue. They were unable to get a hold of the customer. Be careful. This is not a Edelbrock store. I contacted Edelbrock to see if they could help me with the correct jets and they said that was a third-party seller and they would not warranty the carburetor whatsoever. The warrantydepartment actually did do me a solid and said if you can’t get anywhere with the seller or Amazon, we will take care of it and send you the correct parts.

Best Street Carb
Exactly what my chevy c20 needed. I had rebuilt the quadrajet that was on it and it turns out the old carb was warped and cracked. I am used to holley's, so this was new to me. Other then all the little things needed to hook it up to an 84 chevy with a 700r4, it went in easy and ran amazing.Some important notes:-A stock air filter will not fit due to the fuel inlet.-a 700r4 requires an adapter for the kickdown cable-its susceptible to heal soak so a thick base gasket or spacer is recommended.-the carb come with orange springs that are for engines that produce low to moderate vacuum. Make sure you order a $10 spring kit to dial it in for best mpg.-it doesn't like more than 6psi of fuel pressure. Even some stock mechanical fuel pumps put out too much.

My 3rd AVS2
These things run right out of the box.... Very simple to tune if you wish to play with them. They make everything simple from choke adjustment to changing fuel needles if you so choose.... Or just plug and play.... I really like the throttle response.... Is and there a good looking carb....
