Do the hamsters bite and try to eat the fabric?

This question was ages ago but for future people asking this let me answer this as someone who worked with hamster and mice rescue. Those type of bedding is dangerous and not recommend for any small rodent because the bedding has this curly type of fluff which can trap hamster/mice/gerbil leg and stop the blood flow and the leg sometimes will amputate on it’s own or they will bite it off if not released quickly also any fluffy bedding/or nesting material is dangerous as they might eat it and block stomach causing them to swell up and dye in pain which also applies to those horrible cotton balls that some people sell here without any knowledge about animal safe products only wanting to make money on you saying all sort of things like it’s safe for this and that animal using words like cute and so on but it’s one of the worst things you can actually give them I really recommend joining educational Facebook groups for advices and please don’t use those hamster balls it’s absolutely forbidden I can’t really say much here so please educate urself before buying anything also don’t use pine 🌲 shavings or wooden planks made from it only normal non needle wood like birch and so on 🙂🙃😌💙💚🧡

Is it suitable for degus

Hi :) this would be too small for a degas. It only measures 16 x 13cm and is recommended for mice and hamsters. You would need the next size up. Kind regards zoe (wag-tails)
