PK Green 10W Solar Panel with Cable - for 12V Battery, Caravan, Boat, Shed, Car, Motorhome, Camping, Monocrystalline

Works like a dream, had this for a few weeks now. Added a 12v 7Ah battery, a voltage regulator component from electrical store (99p) and it powers a 12v extractor fan, charges iPhone and several other bits of 5v equipment. I'm delighted...apart from capital cost it really is free electricity.The product well made, aluminium frame nice and sturdy. Extended mounting holes so I could slot over screws and slide down. Makes firm mounting. Recommend getting the 10w panel as I did, well worth extra money.I even bought digital voltmeter so I can see incoming and battery voltage (diode and two way switch help there).

appears ok so far, is currently undergoing its first usage, charging caravan battery, the leads could benefit by being a little longer and the connector clips a bit bigger and sturdier, I withhold comment on ability to charge till after its been put to use and I can see the results

Great solar panel .... ideal for my boat keeps the batterys charged up. Delivery very quick too, would definitely buy from this seller again.

I bought this item, unfortunatley I did not unpack it for 6 months.When I set it up and connected it to a battery using the crocodile clips it immediately blew something.On checking the wiring it was discovered that the wires had been installed incorrectly and the positive wire had been attached to the negative connector on the panel. Vice a versa with the negative wire. Thus when the crocdile clips which were marked up + and - were connected it must have short circuited.I have checked the item with a circuit breaker and now no power is being produced to charge the battery.I contacted the seller and they have not bothered to respond.

Small, neat, and up to 10 watts (depending on cloud and angle of the sun. Ideal for keeping the car battery topped-off when you go away.Also a good choice for recharging a small lead-acid battery.Just remember that if you are mounting it in one position (not moving ot to follow the sun), you'll only get the full output from it for a couple of hours a day and only when the sky is clear - there's still output when the sky is overcast, but certainly not 10 watts. This is normal for ALL solar panels.Stu

Bought 2 X PK Green Branded 10w Solar Panels to wire in parallel to trickle charge a marine battery. There are literally 1000's of similar panels out there of a similar quality and price but picked this model purely because of the waterproof / weatherproof junction boxes on the back of the panels as per the pictured listing as these are ideal for upgrading the cable and daisy chaining as many panels together as you need for your particular application.Was very disappointed when I received the panels to see they were fitted with the same cheap non-weatherproof juntion boxes as every other (cheaper) panel you can get on Alibaba / eBay. Overall build quality is OK given the price but if you are going to use these in any sort of exposed or harsh environment I would avoid. Disappointed!

Not overly impressed. The advert specifies it has a blocking diode. However this is wired in parallel with the terminals which appears to me to be a bypass diode used if you have panels in series. It will not block reverse current flow at night in this configuration.Also the sealant along one edge is so far from the edge that it serves no purpose and another edge it wobbles away from the edge. This is not critical but it does show a lack of quality control. There was also traces of sealant on the surface of the glass which took some cleaning.Upon closer inspection of the front of the panel it looks like the individual cells have been placed by hand without using a jig or a poorly made jig. However for a 10W panel this isn't critical especially at this price.I haven't tested it yet as need to get my soldering iron back to resolve the diode issue.
