Leave the Cajon at home.
Absolutely amazing, I got this because I wanted to beef up my acoustic set and being a control freek it's perfect for keeping the tempo when others jam with you, I tried it into my looper and even was able to change the instrument from a kick to a tambourine mid loop! The only down side is, my electro acoustic was clipping before it reached the desk, so I had my acoustic on half volume and it was fine. I can't wait to use it again.

A let down
I had watched reviews on YouTube for this foot drum. I was let down. It has some good sounds on it but you have to tap it in one specific place, due to the lack of sensitivity the sound drops out. It might be good for someone using it alongside a box drum but to use it whilst playing guitar, you can't ensure you tap the same spot every time therefore, it is no good for live gigs. I'm still hunting for the perfect stomp box!

Simply not suitable for live performance
The sounds are very good, but the velocity sensor lets us down badly. You have to be super accurate while using it or you get very soft or no sound. To get a consistent sound out of the box takes such concentration and accurate, it stops being fun very quickly…

Great sound!
Bl**dy expensive, but probably the best sound from one of these "stomp-boxes" I have come-across.

Takes skill and the right shoes
I use the Horsekick Pro for busking, practice and performing at parties. To begin with, I was very dissatisfied, as the beat seemed very unreliable. Later I discovered that I can improve its performance by: (1) wearing shoes with very hard and stiff soles, (2) tapping at the level of the horse's nose, moving left to increase volume and right to decrease it, and (3) resting my heel on a book or block of food about 2cm high. I now find it very practical, and am using 4 of the 5 tones regularly.
