It's perfect
Just what I was looking for. It fits nicely on my lap and is comfortable. The computer stays in place and doesn't overheat. It's even an attractive piece. Win Win. I highly recommend it. I like this item so much, I bought one to have at my daughter's house when I visit. TWO THUMPS UP!

Attractive, well-designed, easy to use: a good choice
I've used a lot of lap desks, and this one is superior to most of them. Here are the positive features:1. Attractive design and colors2. Not too thick or cumbersome. Many lap desks have a thick, solid cushion underneath the "desk" surface that I find too bulky. This one has rectangular pads at each end that are cushy (they feel like they are made from a fairly sturdy foam) enough but don't add too much height or bulk.3. The wrist rest is likewise comfortable not too high or bulky.4. Designed for storage of accessories. There are 2 zippered compartments on the bottom, and an elasticized pouch along the front edge that can hold erasers, pens, etc. or a cell phone. There is also a small round recessed socket for a pen, paper clips or a jump drive, etc.The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because I would prefer the recessed pad/phone slot to be situated on the side rather than in the front of the "desk." This is subjective and apparently doesn't bother most people. I personally prefer to position my laptop or sketchbook along the front edge rather than where most people put it, which is flush with the wrist rest. If I wanted to use the recessed slot to store an iPad this would be a bit awkward, but the slot works fine for my phone, as does the pouch below the edge. I also don't see the handle mentioned in the product description, but that is a minor concern. Since it is new I am unsure how durable it will be.Over-all, I would recommend this lap desk to anyone who likes to work on a laptop or similar device, or to write or draw in a chair, in bed, or on the porch rather than at a computer table. It is thoughtfully designed, has nice features, and is easy to use.

Convenient & Comfortable
This lap desk is not only functional, but very comfortable as well. It has a solid top and a memory foam base. It also has multiple storage compartments, allowing you the ability to keep most everything you will need within arms reach. The lap desk has a cushioned hand/arm rest and is designated with a slight incline to it. These features are intended to help reduce pinch points and muscle fatigue due to sitting in awkward positions. This lap desk is very versatile and can be used for multiple tasks. It can hold your laptop, give you a nice surface to prop up your iPad or smart tablet, write in a notebook, sketch and draw or even provide a good surface to hold your food, while you eat in the comfort of your own bed. This work surface is very useful and I have made good use of it in the short time that I have had it.

Okay
Truthfully, I am ultimately happy with this lap desk, but it looks better online and is just okay for the price of $39.99.Idk if I believe that the foam is memory foam, especially not in the wrist pad, but I could be wrong. I get that the fabric is supposed to be breathable/better for airflow but I'm not a fan - looks like it will start pilling quick so keeping an eye on that. The pen holder is great and works for certain crayon and marker sizes as well. Tablet holder is fine but I feel it could be maybe just 1/2 inch deeper for better stability, and of course will only work for some models. While it is definitely on the lighter side, I find it funny that the open flaps on the backside are considered a "handle" for carrying. Just as easily could've added a fabric in the shape of an actual handle to be more functional. Also, it's pretty clear the surface is not actual wood but if I was to order again I would've selected the lighter brown, I think it would translate better. Note: the surface is can easily scratch, scuff or dent so just beware.Best for younger kids or adults imo: coloring, watching videos, drawing, etc.

Great little lap desk
I got this for my grandmother who likes to sit in her recliner to pay bills and browse on her phone. This is perfect for her because she can put her phone at the top of the desk in the slot, and write out her checks and organize papers on the hard surface of the desk. She's always got a pen on hand too thanks to the storage pouches. It's also good for using during meals. Lots of uses, and a very helpful item for elderly people, disabled people, or students.

Okay, Not Quite What I Thought
This product is a little disappointing to me. The middle pockets that are supposed to be for storage make the tray sit awkwardly on my lap. I would prefer the option of removing the cushions on the bottom to be able to have the tray to lay flat. The piece of cushion that is for holding your computer is a little cumbersome and gets in the way.I will say it is pretty well made. Just awkward.I was hoping to use this to take notes on. I'll have to work with it to see if I can use it vertically instead. May change the number of stars after using it a little more.

Great lap table with hidden pockets
I don’t like to eat in my car and I don’t like to eat in the noisy break room at work. So, for my lunch break, I keep a folding camp chair in my trunk and I sit under a tree and eat outside. For the longest time, I’ve had to improvise a tabletop to eat off of… often, that was just the pizza box that I had just ordered, while at other times it was a stack of lawn bags that I happened to have in the trunk. This lap table helps to make this whole operation a little more organized and a lot less chaotic. It’s got 2 pockets on the bottom for extra storage, I’m keeping some wrapped plastic-ware, ketchups and salt and pepper in there, just in case. The padding on the bottom lifts it to a pretty good height for eating off of and I can put the kickstand of my phone in the groove on top, to keep it from sliding off. But my kickstand case is too thick to fit directly in the groove, but even if it could, it’d be at a 90° angle, anyway. My lunchtime routine is a completely unintended use for this laptop table, but it’s working perfectly and it’s made my daily process a lot easier. It’s light, sturdy and easy to move around.
