Great safety lock.
Works well and easy to use. They decoy button works great! My daycare kiddos and my own 3 year old and 9 month old have no idea how to unlock it and has been very durable when my little one yanks on it.

Works fine
I like how it tricks the little ones into thinking all it takes is a push of a button.

Great product if you have kids
The media could not be loaded. Keeps the kids out of cabinets that have chemicals and our plastic bags.Easy for an adult to use but keeps kids out. Easily adjustable to remove and put on a different cabinet.

works well for hard-to-fit handles
The lever handles on several of our double doors are just a bit too widely spaced for the widest of the u-shaped locks. This one is a bit hard to lock one handed, and if you don't leave enough slack it is hard to lock two handed as well. So far the toddler has not been able to open the doors and has not figured out how to pull the loop off the handle.

Great for toddlers/young ones
Been using these things for a few years. They can occasionally break but only with heavy use over 6-12 months. Still have some that work and its been 2-3 years. Forceful actions on the locks will eventually cause then to no longer operate but I continue to buy these and would recommend them to anyone with small children. Right now its keeping our kids from going in the fridge randomly.

So easy to use!
The media could not be loaded. I love that the front button is a faux button so it deviates the kids from knowing how to actually open it! So easy to use!

Maybe not the best choice for a cabinet you need to get into ...
Work well and versatile. They are a bit of a pain to initially put on but after that they do hold up well. I noticed if you have the straps tighter in close proximity that they can be a little difficult to open. In my case I just open the doors of the cabinet slightly while unlocking and they come right out. Maybe not the best choice for a cabinet you need to get into all the time for that reason. But they come off much easier when loosely attached like I use for extra security on one of my baby gates. Love the decoy button, my husband even tried the button before he knew they opened differently.

The future of baby proofing is now!
I was hesitant at first to buy these because there are cheaper options available but I was enticed by the placebo button on the front so I went ahead and did it. And we love it!Pros:- The placebo button is genius: not only does it work at tricking toddlers into pushing it, but my 18-month-old son often (not always) gets less frustrated at this device than our other baby proofing gear because he gets distracted by the button and then treats it like a toy rather than screaming when he still can’t get the fireplace open.- It’s very adjustable! Put it on everything from cabinets to fireplaces to fridge doors. And if you rent (like us), then you don’t have to worry about holes or damage on the walls/doors- Unlike the u-shaped ones, this doesn’t have any rigid, sharp or stick-like parts waiting to gouge out an eye. The zip-tie portion is flexible and smooth, unlike the vicious teeth and prongs of last-generation baby locks.Cons:- It’s not an air-tight closure, there is some give to it even when you tighten it all the way. So finger-pinching is likely to happen in slightly cracked-open doors (although this has, in my experience, always been the case for these kinds of locks)- Definitely pricier than other options (but worth it, in my opinion)All in all a great step forward in innovation for baby-proofing products.
