Decent quality for the price, Good seller communication, no problems with assembly (read my advice).
I found the chairs of decent quality and finish, good value for the price paid, I would buy them again. There was a couple of minor imperfections but not easily noticed. Excellent communications from the seller but the delivery via Evri could have been better. The chairs come partially assembled (the back and seat) and have adequate instructions on assembly. I read the other reviews prior to purchase and I did not encounter any assembly problems with the plastic spacer washers that are situated between most parts. My advice is to turn the chair on it's side (on a blanket or carpet to avoid damage), locate the washer over the hole on top of the lower part of the frame. If the washer moves whilst trying to locate the bolt fixing then have a piece of card handy to slide in-between the parts to re-allign it over the hole, you should have a clear view if the chair is on its side. move the chair from one side to the other depending on which side you are locating the fixings. Also do NOT completely tighten the fixings as you assemble, ensure all the fixings are located before fully tightening.

Great outdoor chair wit mediocre
Before I express any criticism I just want to say that this chairs are super comfy. The backrest is profiled very well same for the seat. They also look very stylish and posh (if you bothered with such things). With regards to assembly it's another story. Please make sure that you have some linen (or olive) oil, sanding paper, wood glue and some power tolls.I have bought two of them and both had similar issues:- poor finishing with rough surfaces that required sanding, polishing and protecting with oil- one of the side parts was partially broken (wood split that required gluing)- many holes were drilled poorly and required milling machine to fix it (then protecting with oil)- one of the threads in the nut was broken so I had to re-thread it- armrest holes are drilled a bit too far, so you need to put a lot of force and bend the wood to align them with the frame- missing screws on seat and backrest- some steps in the manual could be in different order to make assembly easierThe assembly itself would be actually quite straightforward if the quality of components and drilling alignment would be better and more consistent on all parts. So if you are lucky you may not have any of the above issues at all.All in all I think that this is still good value for the money if you have patience and some DIY skills.

An electric drill will help tighten everything!
Very happy, using an electric drill helped to put it all together. So comfy!

Appalling. One star is overstating it. Avoid avoid. Give me my money back!
So my chair arrived two hours ago. I began putting it together at 3.40pm today. I have modest skills and a very average tool selection. Whilst it needs assembling, it comes in approx 12 parts. All were pre-drilled with no issues whatsoever. There were no split parts, all pieces in good condition. All necessary fixings were present. The process of assembly is straightforward, you just need a little logical thinking at one stage but apart from that this is fine. One bit of kit I used that might be helpful is an Allen key attachment for my cordless screwdriver... saves some faff. All in all, under an hour to unpack, check, count components, assemble and be sat on it with a Carlsberg. Other generic beers are available.Update.And.... it broke. Well to be accurate a slat on the seat broke. Infuriating as it great to look at and comfortable to sit in, or it was until I sat on it this morning and a slat broke. Just to be clear I’m not over weight. There has to be a weakness in that slat.Amazon have agreed to refund after I dismantle it and send it back. I bought it hoping it would last for a few years, not a few weeks. Extremely unhappy.Update. Well I though I was unhappy then. I am livid now. It is 43 days since I requested a refund and I am yet to see a single penny. Amazon asked me to send it back and that cost me an extra £16.62. Nothing, nada, diddley squat,.Avoid, avoid, avoid. Utterly appalling customer service. ARGH.I’m going for a lie down now.

Good looking chairs
We liked the quality and appearance of the wood. The assembly was reasonably straightforward though the placement of plastic washers was fiddly and in the end we had to glue them in place. Most disappointing was that three of the seat slats on one of the chairs were loose and lifted off. They couldn’t be secured by tightening the screws supplied and after several attempts we substituted our own longer screws and glued the slats in place to ensure firm fixing. The chairs look good and feel solid. They are comfortable to use.

I'm in love with a chair!
Very pleasantly surprised with the quality and great looks of this chair. I have been looking to buy an Andirondack chair for years. To actually find one of this high quality made of sustainable hardwood at this price is truly amazing. I bought two and managed to put them together myself within a couple of hours. The bolts and screws are beautiful shiny brass, very sturdy and the hex keys included were a great help. Instructions in English with clear diagrams. Sturdy packaging and the chairs come out smelling of teak oil. I thought I would need cushions but they are comfortable enough without them. I am over the moon and will use them both for inside and outside the house they are that beautiful! They are made by people who know what they are doing and look and feel like they will last for many years.
