i dont know about it cooling the room, but this completely blacks out all light. was easy to cut, hang, and it was big enough that i had plenty left over. i would definately buy this again.

I measured my windows perfectly. I cut these perfectly to the size of my windows. The material is easy to handle cut easy it’s not that thick but as you can see, there’s no light coming through my windows. This fits so great and doesn’t let any light in. I’m really sensitive with the light and I need to sleep and this keeps out the sun that glares into my bedroom windows.Medí mis ventanas perfectamente. Over all it is a decent product and the price i brought it for was reasonable. .Its easy to cut and the velco strips woorked well and there were enough for the job. They do block out the light. The only con was the round clear tabs only had one side that stick. Thus was probably a manufactural defect. Otherwise they were useless. I give this a B

Summer in Arizona with west facing bedroom windows can heat your bedroom a lot. This darkens the room and keeps it considerably cooler. Just measure, cut, and hang it up. The material was easier to cut with a razor blade rather than scissors. We used the Velcro on one window and the round stickers on another window. No problems with either method. Nothing has fallen off the window. When I opened the package there was a very slight odor but it was gone in less than a day. Pleased with the product: lightweight, durable, easy to hang, keeps the light out, and keeps the room much cooler.

I can't imagine why anyone would complain about these! I bought them to blackout our patio glass doors in the late afternoon to stop the suns glare and give us the ability to watch TV. They were exactly wide enough, though I had to buy one more set to go across the lower part of the glass. It was completely dark, like nighttime. The velcro is strong. I put them up and then take them down after the sun goes down every day. The material is so light I fold them up quickly and put them in a drawer. Just pull at the top carefully grabbing the velcro on the curtain part and pull away gently. If you tug from anywhere else I imagine this is why people are saying the velcro won't hold. Also there are plenty of velcro strips and you can easily add as many as you need to stop any light from coming in the corners. We rent so we can't put up real curtains. So far I can pull the velcro strip off the wall (when I've put them in the wrong place) and the paint isn't affected. I also love the silver on the backside of the curtain where the neighbors see.

The blackout curtain is easy to install and gets the job done.However, I do not recommend this product if you are sensitive to smell. Our curtain had a terrible fishy/chemical smell to it. It was hard for us to get used to the smell so we had to remove it after a few days.

I bought this for my son’s room in our rental and it’s perfect for what we need. I didn’t want to buy real shades since we are renting and this does exactly what it needs to. Blocks out the light, easy to install, and sticks on well.

Works amazing. When we want daylight we just pull off of Velcro, it’s so cool. Easy and fun to install. Used in nursery and on a window in our bedroom! Thick, durable and easy to install. Baby’s sleeping much better and so are we!

Blackout works but sticker is not good

Easy to install with the double sided tape with velcro. Easy to take down in the morning, and paste back up at night. Overall an affordable solution to a blackout room. Cuts out some decibels from outside aswell.

Easy to apply to the windows and perfect to block out the light. My partner loves them.
