Print quality poor
Story is great! Loved how it all came together for the finale, enjoyed the new relationship dynamics between paired characters we hadn't seen before, emotional ride right to the end. However as some others have mentioned the print quality for the final book does not match the standards of the previous two. The book itself is significantly smaller, paper is cheap, spine design does not match. Disappointed they did not deliver the same style and quality for the whole trilogy.

I'm ruined!
I have binge read this trilogy over the last few days. Like a full on book goblin late into the night I was hunched up with my light greedily devouring each word. My favourite side character got a lot of love in this final book and I was thrilled.Without giving spoilers, I was close to the end (less than 100 pages to go) of this book when my husband declared we should go out for lunch. I was dragged away to be properly fed, only to find myself suddenly crying over my lunch in the middle of the pub and trying to explain the peril and devestation I was embroiled in.To be fair, he should've known better. But back to the books, each character is written with great love, the plot is engaging and draws you right in, the twists and turns are believable, the tension is epic.Wonderful. Buy them, read them, fall in love with the characters. Try not to cry over your lunch date.

Lively characters in a thrilling final installment with humor, emotion and action
This is the last installment in this stunning trilogy and definitive the best part for me. However, it took me quite some time to read. Reading was until lately only possible on the e-reader - so this print was only readable in the bath tub alone - so for weeks there was hardly any time and I decided to give print-reading during nursing another chance. Fortunately, it worked and I was able to read this book much faster. Which was really great, as the chapter endings were often really mean. The book is written from the perspectives of Tessa, Corrick and Harristan. Often some chapters are written from one point of view, before the other person is taking over. Most of the story this three characters are on their own and fighting their own battles. So it is always really enthralling to see what happens on each front.I really liked all main characters, but also the "sidekicks" were great. Harristan had Quinn, Thorin and Saeth on his side. Corrick was teamed up with Lochlan and Tessa had Rocco and later Olive with her. It was great how the author was able to bring all these different characters to life. Everyone was essential for the story and had their own story to tell. I loved this liveliness and variety.Furthermore all characters have such a nice development during the book. They get stronger and rethink the past. They surpass themselves. The cover is also really nice. I like the colors, which fit well to the hard battles of this part. Also the throne in the back with the ruins is fitting. As already mentioned, there are a lot of different threads, which in the end perfectly fit together. There is a lot of action and adventure - but there are also dialogues with humor (I almost laughed out loud sometimes) and emotion (I cried a few times as well). The ending is really emotional and thrilling and from my point of view all characters get their happy ending - which is really astonishing considering the amount of characters. My conclusion:Lively characters in a thrilling final installment with humor, emotion and action - 5 stars from me
