Do they still have the same padding issue the "top review" talks about? I want to give them a second chance.

I recommend them. I noticed the issue with the tongue seam at the bottom near the arch of the foot, but all it took was to preposition the tongue once and wear the boots for a while and any rub was eliminated. problem no more on the first time out. I just slide them on and zip them up now with zero issues. like wearing comfy slippers!
