Primos Hunting839 Duck Call, Power Drake & Duck Whistle

I bought this call to add a drake mallard grunt to my lanyard, and it was super easy to learn and sounds great! Also makes a really good pintail whistle, which I can not do unfortunately lol but my girlfriend showed me up and can do one flawlessly I was impressed. Good multi call for cheap, primos makes another one for people who can't roll their tongue.

I am a photographer, not a duck hunter so take my review for what it is. I was looking for an inexpensive duck call to get the attention of dogs when photographing them. I really don't know the quack of one duck from the whistle of another, so I ordered this one. Ut was inexpensive, and it's made out of a translucent green plastic, so I should be able to see it easily in a low-light studio or if it gets dropped on the ground.I had a wooden duck call years ago and it made a wonderful deep quacking sound... Kind of WHAAAAA AAAAK as I blew into it. I used it to call meetings to order when nothing else would work. That's really what I expected from this one. This one doesn't make that sound. It is more of a high pitched whistle. Not only does it frighten the dogs in my studio, it's a very unpleasant sound to my ears, so I won't be using it much.That said, this might be exactly what a pintail duck sounds like, but it doesn't really work for my purposes.It's been in my mouth so I am not returning it. I will chalk this one up to lessons learned and maybe not knowing what I was ordering. If anybody wants a loud obnoxious high pitch whistle, I can give you a good deal on mine.

This call did exactly what I needed this season, mostly just to be a teal whistle. I did shoot a couple teal, but can't say for sure that the whistle brought them in. Teal seem to be on a mission no matter what, so they're either coming in or they're not. However, this call is easy to blow and makes the sound I was looking for.

Good value for a simple call. Easy to use and very versatile. Can't wait to try it out on the ducks this season

Very easy call to use. Just blow in it! change the rhythm to make the sounds of pintails, widgeon and teal. Roll ur tongue while blowing to make the pintail sounds. gadwall goes the same way. The mallard drake takes some practice. I suggest going to ducks unlimited website to hear what a mallard drake sounds like to replicate it.

It was a gift for a toddler. It does make noise.

I use this to call my neighbor across the canal. He just loves it when I blow the whistle so he needs to answer. I have not seen any drakes fly by but, I am always an optimist!

Easy to blow and low price. With few practice it sound fairly good

A bit high pitched, but works well for drake grunts.
