Purchase these to make a "quick disconnect" on a remote control boat lift box. Easy installation just pay attention the gauge of your wire before you purchase to ensure the right connector. Having set screws for the installation of the wire into the connector was very nice. Soldering in that tight area would not be fun.

The bolt that you screw in are striped or get stuck easily. You get one shot to get your connection right. Dont recommend buying.

I really like this product due to the way the wires connect on both ends of the male and female parts. The post require a very small Allen wrench to tighten the screws down around the wires, but everything worked as it should very easy to assemble.

This is a good low amperage plug (max amps of 5 amps). I am using it to add quick disconnect functionality to a small on-board battery maintainer on my four-wheeler. The receptacle can be mounter permanently on my four-wheeler wired directly to the maintainer, and then the wire to the wall plug will be wired directly to the quick release plug so I can have a waterproof port smaller than a standard plug receptacle or having to have a wire hanging loose from the frame. This receptacle and plug are rated at 125v and up to 5 amps which is more than enough for the 2 amp output maintainer I installed. The fact that this unit can be installed without soldering makes it a simple install even for people with lower experience with wiring devices and makes the application easier and quicker overall. The water resistance of the receptacle seems very decent but I am installing in a more hidden area to allow me to still be able to use a pressure washer for cleaning. Overall, I would highly recommend this unit for anything you are installing that does not exceed its power rating.

This 3-pin connector seems to be a high-quality weatherproof connector. The plug and the socket fit together very well and make a very secure connection. Both the plug and socket feature screw-down terminals and the plug features a weatherproof o-ring to keep dust and fluids out of the connection when the plug is plugged into the socket. The plug features a cable gland that seems to work for a wide range of cord diameters and the socket features a cover to keep dust and fluids off of the socket when the socket is not in use. Overall, this 3-pin connector set seems to be a high-quality set that will work well for many commercial applications.
