Better than Original
My original KA beater chipped, so I decided to replace it with another KA beater AND decided to give this beater a try. It is even better than my KA beater. With the flexible paddles on both sides, it cleans the side of the bowl better, so I don’t have to stop as often to scrap down the side. It was much cheaper than the KA beater.

Works perfectly
I'm updating my last review that the paddle does not lock. The seller reached out despite the fact I was past the refund date, apologized, and gave me a full refund. The seller explained that one lot was not milled properly causing the paddlenot to lock onto the machine and they were still retrieving them.I bought a second paddle and it locks on perfectly. So nice to have a paddle constantly scraping the sides.When you purchase this item, which I recommend, try it right away to make sure it locks. If not, contact the seller. They have great customer service and want you to be happy, which is rare these days!

Perfect Replacement!
I bought this beater as a replacement for my old one that finally wore out and it is great. I like the silicone "flap" on the sides because it scrapes the side of the bowl. The price was competitive, too and it fits my Kitchenaid mixer perfectly.

Did not fit… but great customer service!
Too late to return, but this did not fit my tilt head kitchen aid. Would not fasten in place. Update 9/15: After I wrote my original review the seller contacted me to ask what was wrong and both refunded me and replaced the attachment. I didn’t ask for either thing, so super impressed with the customer service. The new attachment fits great and I’m happy with it so upping my review to reflect that.

Selling faulty parts hoping people don't check before there return date ends.
Same problem everyone else has, It's past the date of return, I compared it to my old one and the hole that the rod part of the mixer part goes into is too short which is why it wont lock into place. what a waste of money. Do yourself a favor and at least check it as soon as you get it to make sure it fits!

Great for mixing batters
Good for mixing that scrapes the bowl with each revolution. You'll still want to occasionally adjust the mixer settings so it scrapes properly.
