It was so easy to put together. I felt like I got more than my money’s worth. It looks great. Blends in so well with our furniture that we have to point out it’s a home for our turtles. I love the side window which allows children to look in at the turtles without disturbing them. Highly recommend.

Okay, full disclosure, I did not buy this for a tortoise, lizard, or anything that slithers. I bought this to raise chickens. And turkeys. And a peacock. And let me tell you: this habitat slays as a brooder.I’ve tried all the “poultry-specific” brooders, pens, you name it, and not only do they cost $200+ for something that looks like it was made from repurposed disappointment, but most of them require me (a grown adult woman, 4’10” on a good day) to lean so far over the sides I risk swan diving straight into a pile of fresh chicken poop. Ask me how I know. 😅This setup? A pure dream. I was able to put this entire pen together in less than 30 min. Which made me love it even more. The build quality is great, and a month in and over 50 chicks through the brooder already! The pen is very sturdy and both sides of the top lifts open, the lamp side is the perfect height, it’s easy to clean, warm enough to keep the babies cozy without roasting them, and the enclosed area gives them room to cool off if they get too toasty. Basically, it’s the bougie chicken nursery I never knew I needed.I’ve already got another one in my cart. If you’re a fellow backyard farm weirdo looking for a smart, affordable brooder option that doesn’t require a tetanus shot, rocket science, or yoga-level flexibility, this is it.Turtles, take a seat. This one’s for the birds. 🐣

PROS: Perfect size for one small tortoise. Has a sun side and a hide side (as pictured) and a long pole for a light stand.ASSEMBLY: came with clear instructions and all parts labeled for ease of use; maker must have read past reviews because the latches and hinges all have been upgraded to metal. If you were to price the lumber (pine) and hardware to create your own, this is a great value! Each side came pre assembled, just needed to be screwed totally together. Over all, pretty easy to put together by following the instructions. Once put together it seems sturdy but over all will shatter if dropped. Pretty light and can be moved around easily.CONS: Over all fit and finish could be better. As you can see in the pics after fully assembled, measurements were off creating a finger width gap between the two doors on top. Although once put together it is functional. Although easy to follow instructions, pre drilled pilot holes would be very helpful. Some places had them and some (important places- like for the hinges and latches) did not. The windows came covered in a film that needed to be removed before use, it was tucked into the wood a bit so I used a straight razor to carefully remove it around the edges.CLEANING EASE: The tray is NOT removable (which is fine) so I will have to get a small broom to sweep up or vacuum for cleaning and changing the substrate. It is plastic so can be wiped down as well.Overall: This will be used for a secondary safe place for my Russian Torti and will be great for that.

The legs are a little flimsy, but I decided to take them off anyway. The wood on one of the legs was split. This took me about an hour to assemble, it was pretty straightforward; I would recommend using a screw gun. It looks just like the photos, and is perfect for my small tortoise. It's pretty light after being put together.

Very happy with this enclosure so far! It’s a good size and I like the color, I’ve been using it for two weeks so far with no issues. The smell isn’t overpowering either, I liked the smell when I first built it and now I don’t notice it at all. My only problem is that I wish the hook could be adjusted so I could make it much lower, it’s far too tall for my lights to be effective even at its lowest adjustment.

I bought this originally for my two guinea pigs before I knew I would be getting a tortoise.This would have been “ok” for my guinea pigs, a little snug but they get a lot of floor time.But this is about my tortoise! I have a Russian tortoise, and this works for him amazingly.The only thing I would do to improve this cage is add silicone around where the base meets the walls. Dirt WILL fall through even as tight as you can get it!I did have to do not put the screw too far in the back to the window side. It started to split the side.Other than that this is AMAZING.It was packaged beautifully, and no pieces arrived damaged. However I would have preferred the glass had some sort of protection they were scratched upon arrival (must have been scratched prior to shipping)My tortoise so far likes his new home, although this most likely will not work long term it’s working for him for now. The windows are a huge plus, my shih tzu is very into all of our animals and she loves being able to peek in at him.The biggest plus is it was SO EASY to put together. Dowels came already added, all it needed was a couple screws and I put to together by myself with only a screw driver in about 20 minutes.(Note he was unexpected so I have the proper UVB and decor ordered and they will be arriving soon!) rest assured he’s in good hands. :)

The media could not be loaded. I’m using this as a chick brooder. It holds up fine however the doors are crooked. The big opening can’t be held up with the holding stick because the top doesn’t fit evenly. That’s the only part affected by the use. If you care about looks don’t get this. It does function, we were able to put it together. It was easy to assembly, it’s sturdy, build quality is not best the size is decent. I do like the plastic bottom for easy cleaning.
