Success for Teens: Real Teens Talk About Using the Slight Edge

Success for Teens is an amazing book. Through the use of many examples of how each step is applied in teens' lives, John Fleming has clearly outlined and bullet pointed steps to helping teens, and myself so also adults, to become successful in their lives. I received the book about 5 years ago and had used it to develop leadership program. After my computer crashed, I knew I had to get my hands on this book again. I'm glad Success magazine has made it free online source. Now, I run my youth leadership programs for Promised Youth International once again from the information provided in Success for Teens.

This is a great easy book to read with real life stories that teens face (not tweens). I read the book before my kid did knew that she might have questions or concerns about life. These are real stories and if your teen has questions after reading some of the stories be honest. As a parent, I read The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson and recommend the book to any adult. My kid sees me read and doing the mundane things to get ahead. We all now live out lots of life lessons that came from the books. Happy Purchase.

Our son 10yrs old and daughter 15yrs old both are reading this book. We already see significant shifts in their mindset regarding how they approach their task. They both apply it their school work and chores;) After reading (daily), we sit down and ask what did they learn? Our son plays basketball and wants to get stronger. At first he could only do 5 push-ups. Now his goal is to do at least 36,000 by the end of the year. He said dad " if I do 100 push-ups a day, that's 3,000 a month. Wow I can do anything if I just do a little bit towards my goal every day!". Everyone in the family has bought in to this philosophy and we are so excited because we get more done, which leave us more time to just be together and have fun!

I love the book and I give this to my 13 years old, I hope this will help her as she growing up and I would love to give one for my other kid in college too. I feel this will help any age and is easy and simple to follow and understanding.

Good book for a high school graduation gift. I gave it to my daughter and she found it helpful preparing her for college.

The Slight Edge is one of my all time favorite books. I wish I had read it before the hundreds of other personal development books I've read. The Slight Edge philosophy actually shows you how to implement the other personal development books in a way that helps you create success in your life. Success for Teens, a teenage version of The Slight Edge, breaks it down even further. I am reading it first before I give it to my children, and I can't recommend it enough! Although the examples the teens share will be more relatable to my kids, the feelings behind what they are sharing are universal. If you are looking to create a better life for yourself, or to give your kids a hand-up in helping them create success for themselves, I highly recommend this book.

I read Slight Edge but gave this to my grand kids who are in high school in hopes to guide them to set up balanced life goals. I also felt a great read to show we truly should be grateful for all we have been given. Nice that this came from teens! Coming from teens make it more real and achievable. Thank you!

speaks a lot about GOD and religion. I wish i would have known that before i purchased it. all in all it was ok did deliver some good examples and lessons.

Arrived on time and even had extra DVD's included. Great book for teens. I have given this to my son and my niece, and believe that it could positively change their lives (if they actually read it!).

A great book for teenagers! To better understand how to develop good habits and to get them working for you. If you are a teen and you believe that you`ll never be successful at anything, then THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU!!! Its a mind-changer. The book is easy to understand.

My daughter loves it and reads it frequently.
