Fortunately for me
I've been looking for a Pea Coat style coat for a while and came across this one and thought the price was acceptable. Most of the US Navy pea coats I've seen are $150+. This is not a US Navy Pea coat, but the style is similar I think. When I originally ordered the coat it told me it wouldn't arrive for almost a month. I wasn't in a hurry so that didn't bother me. Fortunately for me, it arrived in a bout a week! I am very pleased with the quality of the coat. It appears to be well made, and is very comfortable. I am not sure I like the gold buttons, but I think they can easily be replaced with a black button. Overall, I think this is a great value if you're looking for a pea coat.

Great Coat for the Price!
Based on the customer reviews I ordered a coat in both Large and Small sizes. These coats are well made and one hundred percent wool, good and sturdy. The cut however is small around the chest and waist. If you are barrel-chested you would be better served with going up a size larger than your usual. I have yet to receive any special discounts or other seller incentives so this review is based on an average consumer buying an item at full price. This is a really nice coat.

Overall happy with the coat
Overall happy with the coat. Fit as expected and warm. Disappointed the buttons came off within a few weeks of wear. Easy fix and considering the price point not a big deal.

Just Right!!!
The xxxl is very quality. I'm 6'-5" no fat with athletic fit. The coat is not too thick, not too thin. The fit is perfect. Enough room for layering your clothes. The sleeves have a good fall down to my knuckles. The coat falls down to my middle thighs. Now the good news or the bad. The shoulders have padding to enhance your shoulders. A good deal for the cold.

A Great Coat!
This Coat is an excellent quality. Even though there was only one guidance for measurements, (chest size), it is a perfect fit.The quality, The looks, The expeditions delivery, (delivered from Europe); I am 100% satisfied with my purchase.

Amazing style and warmth
Heavy weight for the price. Comparable to the extremely heavy weight of the the +200 jackets at Army Navy stores. However the buttons will need to be re-enforced.

Tamanho grande.

All that is solid melts into air...
I read the reviews carefully before buying this. I suggest you do the same. Definitely helpful on sizing and button issues; comments I can fully endorse.1. re sizing - Had to return the first coat - it WAS my size but a size up allowed for a very substantial sweater or a jacket underneath. It's a winter coat. Why not?Warm material, good length, especially useful in autumn, at this point I was very pleased. There is a degree of pilling but this should be anticipated.2. re buttons - The comments in other reviews about the loose buttons were borne out very quickly. They dropped off after two outings like leaves in autumn. But I was prepared and changed the lot post haste (I had some excellent black period buttons - to my mind better than the over shiny originals, but it's a matter of taste). However issues remain. The pockets allow for little leeway. My wallet struggles with the inside pocket, a slight affair - and believe me, it's not because of vast wads of cash. Maybe it's just for an ID card or a driving licence. Or a small phone. But the bigger issue here is, again, with the stitching. With a supposedly hardwearing winter coat you should be able to expect pockets that are large enough and that do not melt away. Material is thin, stitching poor, and suddenly I have a lining full of change. Re-sewing them now.So overall good value and usable as long as you are handy with a needle and thread for the running repairs. Any navy that relied on these for standard issue clothing would have to seriously consider their procurement procedures. Not recommended for arctic convoys, but otherwise OK.EDIT- 3 years on and the coat is now considerably more expensive to buy here. Pocket linings have been stitched up and it is still very warm and great for autumn winter, but it has really suffered from chronic pilling, far more than I expected. Probably still worth the cost, though, so I would still recommend it.

;o)Ahoi!
