Perfect, only if....
...if you buy an extra micro SD card, make sure you buy one with the higher speed. I got a cheap 20 quid one and not everything transferred, the few bits that did the playback was tinny. I returned that card and bought a high speed 1tb micro sd card, not only does it work for transferring the sound quality massivey improved when playing back on this mp3 player. So those who have issue with sound quality, invest in the better micro sd card and the play back is fantastic. Now the mp3 player itself, its light, small, easy to charge. You will have to go in settings and make sure the volume is up the first time, but after that it is fine. Everything opens lightning quick and playback lasts all day. What I love is, I have close to 1tb of music organised in folders on there, spotify and audible and even some videos. I can switch between anything instantly and playback is fine, no buffer issues or anything like that and it works so quick. I use wireless headphones an wifi on mine, so the bluetooth and wifi obviously should drain batteries quicker, but I never seem to have an issue, I use it for hours at high volume and scroll through it continuously and the battery lasts. I still charge it each night and unplug when it reaches 100% my critiques are only minor so it doesn't really affect rating. One is the player used for music can take a little to get your head around at first. The other is when scrolling through your mp3's it doesnt display the whole name, unless you can change that in settings somewhere. It displays the whole name when playing an mp3 but not when scrolling through. so do make sure you organise your music properly. it comes with an Aux cable (very handy) some ear buds (I haven't tried because I use wireless headphones) but no case, not even a pouch, but you can buy a case for it on amazon and I really recoomend you do so. It aso displays mp3 art, but doesn't seem to on folder art, if you changed the .ico file to the album cover on your compuer, this doesn't seem to read that, unless of course there is a different setting, but it will display the attached images to mp3s, but for someone like me who uses .FLAC and .WAV files, it would be good to have it display folder art.

G3 innioasis
Neat little player once it’s loaded with music! Quite a handy multimedia player with quite a few handy apps. I only wanted a music player to use with my Sonos roam while on holiday. As such it connects faultlessly via Bluetooth. My only gripe is that it seems by default playback is always set on ‘shuffle’! I find I have to select ‘consecutive’ playback. The file download/upload app (file share) is not up to much and is longwinded in use. Much better and more user friendly is MTP downloader app to which there is an online address in the manual to download it. This app is a simple drag and drop. I did find I had to sometimes do a file scan before music player would see downloaded albums. The G3s online album art search and display is very good so far. I have used 95% of built in memory and 75% of (125Gb) sd memory with very fast file (album) indexing and search and play response. I have tested it with 24/192 hi-res with no issues - it boasts dsd capability but although I have dsd files I haven’t downloaded any to the G3 thus far. The display is nice and sharp and the player feels pretty robust and well built for the £70 I paid. Happy so far 72 or so hours into ownership.

Completely dead after 8 months
It worked fine for the first 3 months then the battery started to deplete down increasingly fast. Now, it has been completely dead for the past 3 months. When I try and charge it now, nothing happens. If only these devices had a warranty as I bought it almost a year to the day. I do not recommend buying this product as you have no comeback if things go wrong and only a month to return it after purchase.

Not thrilled.
Not completely thrilled with this. The advertising was rather confusing, listing a variety of similar items at different prices but all appearing to offer the same features. What you get appears to be a stripped-down phone (without call facilities). An Android operating system with supplied apps, most, if not all requiring some sort of subscription for effective operation. But I could not identify the "powerful local music player app" to use as a straightforward replacement for my Apple iPod which had seen better days. Single or sequential track play is what I needed but you seem to get stuck in a play loop or shuffle, which is not ideal. The manual has been no use at all - lots of information but no help. As for the 160GB boast - 128GB is a supplied microSD (not standard SD) card but the unit can accommodate up to 1TB if required. The additional 34GB space is accounted for by internal memory. The dilemma was knowing where to place your tracks in the hierarchy of Android folders. In the end I created my own file organisation on the SD card and then doing a scan. On the positive side, I was drawn to the wide range of music formats supported. More than what was being offered by a considerably expensive alternative player. Maybe I should have opted for that one all along. It was also very nice to be able to output to a bedside radio at night, using Bluetooth, rather than wearing headphones.

Good battery and very easy to use
I've had this for nearly 6 months and used it 4 - 6 times a week, every week since. The battery lasts a very health time. It connects quickly and stays connected to my Philips earphones. Only poor thing about it is the stand alone speaker which is rubbish. But as I use it with earphone/earbuds the quality of music is brilliant .

More than a music player.
Not exclusively a mp3 player, really it’s just a mini android device. Plays music well, headphones included are good quality. Also can play mp4 movies and mkv.
