Invaluable for tracking HR zone training using Wahoo and HRV using Elite HRV
When I saw that this worked with both Elite HRV and the Wahoo APP, I was sold. I have used it to track training and HRV and have been comparing it with validated tools, like HRV4Training for HRV and the Wahoo Run w/chest strap for HR training and tracking zones in real time.So far, it has been accurate when matching with the other sensors/techniques I am recording on simultaneously to verify the function. The strap is easy to put on and take off. Wetting the contacts is standard for chest straps, accomplished by wetting both hands at a sink and applying the moisture to the strap underside before starting, or spraying the underside with water after you put it on, or wetting the underside right before putting it on. The strap washes easily under the tap by hand after exercise! Hang to dry.It is easy enough to attach the COOSPO sensor to the strap using the two snaps. The snaps are firm and the sensor is not likely to fall off. It has stayed on through the most vigorous plyometric and gymnastic workouts. The elastic chest strap is adjustable and easily adjusts to about 40", though I put it at about 37" to be snug around my 42-inch chest. The battery compartment opens and closes easily using a quarter. It shows which way to turn it. I opened it to test the power in the battery, which was fully charged! It came with a Maxell CR2032 battery.NOTE: You put the battery in, with the "+" side 'out' not 'in' or down as indicated by the + on the floor of the battery compartment. Batteries indicate the + side on them.Initial pairing with Elite HRV and Wahoo APPs was instantaneous. Each time I use the APPs again, pairing has also been instant as long as I remember to wet the contact portion of the chest strap.Using the COOSPO HR chest strap with the Wahoo APP (free), I can do my workouts, see my HR zone across my custom set HR training zones in real time, track HR recovery in real time and also record it to determine later (see sample), record and save workout HR throughout the workout along with time in HR zones (see photos). I can go back more than a decade to see how I performed on specific workouts and learn to do better! The first 5 photos show a workout session in wahoo with (a) the device connection, (b) real time HR training zone view, (c) HR waveform with indication of workout end at 12:39 at 161 BPM and then (d) indicator moved to 1-minute heart rate recovery at 13:45 at 134 BPM... A drop of 27 beats in the first minute. [That is healthy HR recovery, with the documented healthy cutoff for the first minute around 18 (or 15-25 or 13 depending on the study)], then (e) HR training zone distribution for the entire warm-up, workout and recovery.Using the COOSPO HR strap with the Elite HRV APP (free), I can record morning HRV and track HR and HRV in real time for biofeedback to understand the effects of different breathing strategies to practice reducing sympathetic (fight-or-flight) drive. The advantage of using the HR strap is that it is hands free where HRV4Training ($9.99 one-time charge; validated for recording HRV using our phone camera) and other such APPs require holding the phone and maintaining finger pressure on the cam while also covering the phone light (which is sometimes hot!) Sometimes I do 10+ minutes breath/ HRV biofeedback sessions (see the last photo) and I don't want to hold a phone. Why not use a watch? Even the best watches are known to be terribly inaccurate at reading elevated training HR levels and not great at capturing morning and specific HRV. I have tested smart watches against chest straps and have confirmed this in every instance I have tested it.For over a decade I have used a number of Wahoo HR chest straps (using the RUN at the moment), along with the Wahoo APP, to track and record my training intensity. I use this along with Beyond the Whiteboard ($50/year) where I record my workouts and can compare my performances with tens to hundreds of thousands of people worldwide doing the same workout as me (across thousands of workout options as well as daily posted workouts with scaling for nearly every intensity/capacity level). The accuracy of a chest strap for instantaneous HR readings has been invaluable in helping me see see continual personal bests in every domain of my training. In this context I am able to repeat workouts, easily see and understand what I I did before and know where I can do better! However, none of my Wahoo HR straps worked with Elite HRV (which requires a chest strap!) I have always wanted to incorporate HRV measures into determinations of how to plan levels of intensity in my training.I have been recovering from a long respiratory illness and wanted to use training and HRV status to improve my health. Using daily HRV recorded on waking, I can plan my training when my system is at its most recovered and showing the least stress!I am tracking as I am recovering from sickness using HRV from both the COOSPO strap using Elite HRV and the using the validated HRV4Training using the cam. My last two readings from each were:1) The day after intense (Zone 4) training, morning readings were down from the prior day as expected:COOSPO strap W/ELITE HRV was at 20 rMSSD and 39 SDNN, vs HRV4Training showing 23 rMSSD and 37 SDNN2) on the next day, still recovering but with so-so sleepCOOSPO strap W/ELITE HRV has me at 27 rMSSD and 42 SDNN, vs HRV4Training showing 33 rMSSD and 39 SDNNMost important here are the sensitivity to the training state and that the directional tracking is in the same increments and direction. Also these are nearly the same values. Though, I have to take one after the other and the second one (HRV4Training) probably suffers a little from test-retest effects! [This is a published effect when measuring HRV!]

Worked a couple of times then never again... Terrible
I used this product 4-5 times during bike rides, and it worked perfectly at first. Then it stopped pairing with my Wahoo app and would only connect to my phone's Bluetooth. After changing the battery multiple times, it stopped pairing with my phone and was completely unusable.

Working great.
Works as expected, will only pair when worn which I guess makes sense.

It works and it's pretty inexpensive
This works perfectly with my Garmin watch, and it's accurate, matches my other HRM. Used it for 6 weeks so far, very happy with it.

Great value, go for it.
At this price, this felt like a risky purchase, but I am focusing on Zone 2 training and have a limited budget. Quick take - go for it, no issues after a few months of regular use.It pairs easily with Wahoo. The Wahoo app allows me to set the range I am going for and shows my current heartrate in big enough text that I can read it while working out. The ranges are color coded, so I can even glance down and note the color without worrying about the number. I am not able to check my Fitbit unless I come to a stop.I tried a few other apps, including the COOSPO app. I either couldn't get it to pair, or didn't like the app.I think it is accurate. It follows the Fitbit Versa 2 pretty closely. Of the two, I would guess the COOSPO is the more accurate one.

Flawless
Glad I picked this over a Garmin or other name brand. It has worked flawlessly with my Garmin Fenix 6X watch and seems to be much more accurate than the wrist based tracking of the watch itself. Definitely recommend.

Save your time, it doesn’t work
Very annoyed that I wasted my time with this. It doesn’t connect via Bluetooth. I tried multiple different brand new batteries and this thing simply does nothing. Now I have to return it and I still don’t have a monitor. Please save yourself time and money by not buying this. Many others I see mentioned that it stopped working after the return window was over. Luckily mine didn’t work straight out of the box, but I’m sure for many it works for a bit then goes into non-working mode like mine.
