THIS PRODUCT IS NOT MADE TO BE USED FOR GASOLINE!!!!!
I am posting as a PSA I did a product search for “gasoline can”….. then I added the “average customer review” filter. When the product arrived, I decided that it was important to read the label before I removed and tossed. I could not believe it!!!! (See photo) These “gas containers” are only suitable for racing fuels, NOT FOR GASOLINE!!!I hope that this product description is not intentionally misleading and yes, if you read all the fine print, lack of suitability for gasoline is stated. But rather than the description being technically accurate would it not save Amazon customers and Amazon Customer Representatives a lot of grief if the search engine was modified and if the product description was abundantly clear about its lack of suitability for gasoline????I was looking for a heavy duty gas can and I got a heavy duty birdseed jug, four of them in fact. I buy from Amazon because it carries merchandise that may not be available for me locally. I was not expecting a reading comprehension exam. And while I’m on a soapbox: I ask why the item description doesn’t simply state that there are non-returnable. Why must one need to click on the statement to learn that it is inaccurate????I gave this item 5-stars in hope that it would more likely be read.EDIT: The seller changed its listing. Great. There are many comments from buyers who are happy with the product. Read the one star reviews: buyers whose containers leaked when transporting gasoline from pump to their home.

Once you use these, you will ask yourself why you waited to long to buy them
Excellent for fuel. I have several of these for my lawn equipment and they work great. I have the Yellow jugs for Diesel and the Red for Gasoline. Very easy to fill at the station and no more crouching over to fill with the fuel station nozzle. You can stand up and fill these with the pump nozzle and with the large filler neck, there is no chance of over filling as its easy to see the fuel level in the jug while filling.I also have some of the "white" jugs I use for fuel and they allow you to see the fuel level in the jug through the container, which is even handier. Just be aware that some fuel stations are funny about allowing you to put gasoline in anything which isn't red in color or diesel fuel in anything which isn't Yellow for regular diesel fuel or Green, which is apparently the color for Bio-Diesel fuel. These jugs are easy to pour, I use a wide mouth funnel and remove the cap from these and pour the fuel into the funnel. No fuel spillage, no splashing and it allows you to pour as fast as the funnel can handle the fuel. I have gotten rid of all my old "Gas cans", which turned out to be more valuable than I thought as people don't like the new "Safety Jugs" and all their "spill protection features", which cause you to spill and slop fuel. These fuel jugs are easy to pour as they have a molded handle in the bottom to help you when pouring. Ideal design, easy to transport, easy to fill, easy to pour fuel from, there isn't a thing about these I don't like. I certainly prefer these fuel containers over any of the other I have owned or used. The clear plastic hose which threads into the cap on these jugs is very stiff and somewhat difficult to use. I prefer to pour with the cap removed and while I keep one threaded cap with the clear filler hose, I rarely use it for filling the various fuel tanks on the equipment. These have threaded air vent on the top of the jug's neck to allow you to pour with these jugs.............open the vent if you are using the clear hose which you can thread into the cap, but if you are pouring fuel from these without the threaded caps on them, no need to open the vent due to the size of the jugs filler neck.Nothing about these fuel jugs which I don't prefer over all of the other gas cans or diesel fuel jugs which I have owned or used. The sidewalls of these jugs are thick and make them easy to use.Just be prepared for compliments from others when you are filling these or using them at the fuel station. When others say "Nice jugs you have there", they are most likely referring to your fuel jugs.

works great
well made.no stupid safety valves and nonsense to contend withjust open and pour.however did not come with a spout of any kind. just a capyou will have to purchase the spouts separately for some reason if you dont want to pour straight from the bottle

They do leak but maybe that's fine?
I agree with the other folks and not sure what the deal is but these do leak. If you are thinking they won't, and it is just a temporary defect, I think they all do. I filled 2 out of 4 and both leak if I tip them over. I am using them as generator storage gas outside and I don't think it matters for me. Now, the leak is very minor and small but a leak is a leak. I think a lot of plumber tape may be needed to plug the holes. :(P.S. These are actually more than 20L / 5G - you can probably fit another half a galon into these things.

EPA is destroying jobs and ingenuity.
It’s pathetic all the loopholes consumers and producers must jump through to get a good product. Big Brother can take a hike. This is simply the best money can buy. Don’t try to pinch pennies on this purchase it’s important.

Solid construction
Heavy duty materials. Puts regular gas cans to shame. If you have to transport flammable liquids, this is a smart choice. Pricey but you get what you paid for.
