Works great in my 20 year old Gibson stand up freezer
Uses only 1/5 the wattage of a halogen. Also produces less heat which is good, heat in a fridge/ freezer is bad.Despite being so much more efficient, it is brighter. I like the daylight light spectrum on this bulb, but it is a personal choice.If you want to see things more clearly, get a daylight bulb. If you have sensitive eyes and like going for a midnight snack, the warm color from a softwhite bulb may be better for you.

I was surprised that the original stopped working after only a few years!
I really didn't need three, in fact, I already don't know where the other two are. But the price for three just seem the best option. The original in the freezer went out months ago but I didn't have a clue how to remove it or even if it needed replacing. I thought maybe a switch was stuck. I mean, it is a LED light. Aren't they suppose to last a long time? A neighbor who was seeking work easily figured out how to remove it, which in turn made it easy for me to search for a replacement. The order came in quickly and I installed it that same day. The has been working ever since, of course, that is just a few weeks, so if should it fell, I will update!

You light up my life - or at least my freezer!
I was concerned when I first got these because the size is short - very short compared to the previous incandescent bulb that was in the freezer. The length made me wonder if they bulb was right. The base, however, was a match, so the bulb fit perfectly. The freezer is back to being bright and clearly the size didn't matter. As Meghan Trainor once said, it's all about the base. For me, the base matched, so all is bright now!
