An Awesome USB/XLR Microphone! Great for the Price and Super Easy To Use.
I’ve primarily used only Fifine Mic’s since I started content creation, I’ve had the K669B, and AM8 which has been my main microphone for the past year. The K688 is an excellent upgrade! The build quality is better, and the built in shock mount and better background noise reduction compared to the AM8 makes it worth it. The Metal build is super nice. I love the smaller design profile when compared to the AM8, and though not needed, the ditching of the RGB lights is something I do miss. I also love that it includes a USB A to C that can easily become USB C to C. The cable itself is pretty long, similar to the AM8, it makes it super easy to adjust it. Similar to the other Fifine mic’s I’ve had, this one works out of the box with no issues. The XLR compatibility is also super neat. I primarily just use the USB C cable, it makes it super easy to plug in and use. I highly recommend pairing the mic with a boom arm (Fifine’s BM63 is my personal recommendation), I hadn’t realized till now how much of a difference it makes and how much easier it is to stay close to the mic and maintain consistent volume and quality. On the audio quality, I have a pretty deep and monotone voice. I try to keep the mic as close as possible and project my voice to make it sound as clear and crisp as possible. I am still very impressed by the audio quality for this price, and I have no real complaints. I’ve had it for over 2 weeks as of this review, I would recommend it!

High Quality Microphone for a Small Price. Great for Content Creators.
As a YouTube Content Creator, I was looking for the highest Quality Microphone I could get for a low price. There are some brands out there other YouTubers use that can cost a couple hundred dollars or more. Most of us who just start out on YouTube do not have that kind of money to spend. FiFine offers products to us at such an accessible price, it's hard not to take a look! The K688 is a Microphone that fits all my needs. I have used this Microphone in the USB configuration for several months and had absolutely no issues with it. The sound has been high quality giving me that studio sound that you would get from the higher price microphones. Recently, I added an audio mixer into my setup, the FiFine SC3 so that I can connect to XLR and use that quality. This microphone sounds great in XLR! But, it sounded great in USB mode too. I feel like regardless of how you wish to use this microphone, it will do an amazing job. When I first received the K688 it was extremely easy to use. You simply plug in the USB/XLR and plug it into your device you are connecting to. I purchased this microphone in the Color white to fit my setup. While in USB configuration you can adjust the microphone gain and the headphone volume with the Microphones knobs. You can also mute/unmute the microphone by simply pressing the touchscreen style mute button on the microphone. These features are not accessible in XLR mode because the Audio Mixer (In my case FiFine SC3) would take over those functions. I would definitely recommend this Microphone to content creators who want to sound amazing without spending a ton of money.

Best Budget Friendly Mic! Shure who?!?!
This comes with everything you need! It’s the perfect size! Great weight but not too heavy and not too light to feel cheap! It comes with a grey pop filter which works amazing for plosives but I wanted a black one for a cohesive color! The recording quality out of the box on my MaonoCaster E2 Gen2 is so good you would think it’s a Shure mic! When I used it with my Tonor Audio Interface and ran it in OBS I put different filters on it and it was so velvety and perfect for podcasting! I bought a Maono mic to see which is better but it hasn’t arrived yet! But this just sounds so amazing! And I need three more to finish my podcast setup so if it beats out the Maono I’ll definitely have to think about going with the FiFine! Because it has treated me so well! You would think the sound would make it cost hundreds but it’s a budget friendly mic! I’m honestly surprised by the quality. I didn’t care about the build as much I wanted it to sound amazing! It’s a 10/10 for me!

A very good microphone and price is good.
I bought this to replace a JLabs mic that decided to fail (Windows not seeing it). Then I got it to be seen by Windows, but then the volume control would not adjust for microphone use. So replaced it with this as I can use it in USB mode, or via XLR. Running it via USB at the moment, but will go XLR with a digital interface soon enough. So far, it seems to work great, my voice sounds good, but will be interesting to see how it fairs once I run it with Fairlight in Davinci Resolve for editing. Came with the USB (C to A) cable, and screw mount to mount to your mic arm and that's it. It does have shock mounts and I have it on a Neewer mic arm with screen that came with it on the front to reduce sibilace. Only have had it about a week or 2 now but so far it works a treat with USB. BTW, running it via XLR will bypass the onboard amplifier/Dac/ADC so best to run it through a digital interface to the computer via USB.

Fifine's K688 is an Excellent USB/XLR Mic For Amateurs and Pros Alike!
I own many Fifine microphones, all of which have given me great service. The K688 is no different, it's an XLR/USB mic that delivers beautiful voice quality, a solid metal build, and perfect clarity in both the XLR and USB modes. The K688 also comes in three different colors...black, white, and pink. I got the white one which looks sharp. You can buy the K688 on Amazon for a great price. Believe me when I say the K688 is a fantastic piece of audio equipment for a great value.

Great Sound and Value
Sure, the SHURE microphone that you see EVERYWHERE might be slightly better than this. Might be. But this is probably 95% as good, and a fraction of the price. (Check the tons of reviews for this on the You Tubes.) Great quality, fit and finish, as good as any. Works perfectly on Windows, even without installing their software; I didn't install it, so can't comment on its usefulness. Connects easily with USB, and the sound quality is excellent, even via USB. IF I were doing a professional podcast, would I spring for the much higher cost of something like the Shure? Maybe, but likely only for the sake of appearance. Being the contrarian that I'm ... maybe not. This really is a quality mic.

This microphone is crisp and clear in sounding and utility wise also. In this price it is great and comparable to very high end mics.
