Love, love, love this book! I am usually really skeptical about buying books on the subject of Neo-Paganism because there is a lot of misinformation out there, but I am very curious about different types of spiritualities. This book is definitely something I am happy that I purchased. It is very comprehensive, straightforward, and the author really seems to have done her research on the ancient roots of paganism and Wicca. I found the history of the religion fascinating. Clarke dives into the roots of the divinities, the ethics behind the religion, and then into the practice itself - including meanings of different herbs and crystals which I find fascinating. I loved the ease at which I was reading it, and I honestly couldn’t put it down. What resonated the most with me was the idea of connecting our physical and spiritual natures to become whole. It was a fast and informative read. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has wanted to explore their spirituality or has wanted to understand this subject more deeply.

I really enjoyed learning some of the history behind wicca and pagan religions in general! While I don’t currently see myself getting serious about wicca in the future, there are elements of this book that I could see myself incorporating. Particularly the information on crystals are quite helpful, there’s just so much information out there and oftentimes it contradicts each other. It’ll be nice to have one point of reference to look at. I also think that if you have any interest in writing a novel featuring witches, this would be an awesome book for reference and inspiration. If I am being totally honest, I want someone else to be a witch so I can go to them and benefit.

While I admit I have been skeptical about diving into the world of Wicca, this short book might have just changed my mind. It offers a deep exploration of Wiccan principles and practices. With some 100+ techniques, I wasn’t aware so many existed, it certainly was a lot to take in, but it was all presented in a very simple way in my eyes. I found finding out about the foundations of Wicca so fascinating, and don’t think it’s very well known in general. I also didn’t know there were so many components to rituals, including the clothes and jewellery. Even if I don’t plan on doing a ritual on my own anytime soon, this was very fascinating to read.If you are not so strict about spirituality and are open minded like me, I would recommend you give this book a go.

This is a great book that explains Wicca in detail. I never knew that the premise of Wicca is basically interconnectedness. Through a good foundation, beliefs, practice, magick, and rituals, we can better understand how to interact with the world. It’s all about finding a connection with the earth, ourselves, and each other. I’ve always been very curious about Wiccan rituals and I think Ingrid Clarke did a great job explaining all the different types of rituals. She even explains how to prepare for them. A lot of my misconceptions were put to rest by reading this book. Definitely check it out if you are curious.

I'm not a big reader and get bored with a book that gets very detailed. This book managed to cover all the basics without getting rapped up in little details. It helped answer a lot of questions for me. I would recommend it for anyone starting out.

It was a very interesting read. Before reading this book I knew very little about Wiccan history and its origins. Thanks to this book I really discovered a lot of super interesting things, a really fascinating read. In addition, the text is very clear and easy to understand, so it is also a suitable read for those who want to discover this ancient religion. Really well structured, clear and detailed. I recommend the purchase.

Got this for my partner who's new to the world of Wicca and wanted a good starting point. It's a very informative and helpful beginners book introducing anyone to Wicca and has helped better understanding as to why they're drawn to it. Would highly recommend.
