Wonderful

As with all of the Phaidon cook books this book is very well made and presented and the recipes are very usable. There is nothing in here that you could not do with ingredients from your local large supermarket and so far everything that I have tried has turned out pretty much as described in the book. Great ideas for Sunday morning toast with breakfast in bed!

The book was pretty new, however one of my pages were folded leaving a crease, but I don’t really mind.

You have to try the kiwi and lemongrass syrup on toast. So delicious

This is an OK book depending on your taste, but most of the recipes are not to mine. There are perhaps five I like. The chapters are organized by season; however I would have preferred by meat, veg, and sweet. You may like it better than I do...but I would rather have chosen differently for the money.

Love this book! Tasty, easy recipes that combine unique flavirs. The macadamia nut white chocolate toast was unbelievably good. An appetizer more than a dessert. The avocado toast was quick, easy and a unique blend of ingredients that I had in my house. I haven't been much of a bread person for the past several years, these recipes have reintroduced me to how good it can be when it's the background for a beautiful melding of flavors rather than an overwhelming filler. I highly suggest recommend this book as a great staple for your kitchen or as a gift.
