hi, I just open the box and there is no software disk , what is up with that?

The disk is very small and sort of hidden underneath a piece of cardboard at the very bottom of the box.

Does the software have glitch detection where it only saves a waveform if it is out of preset parameters? For example if the voltage is too high/low.

It has a trigger setting. You can set the scope to single mode and define what voltage to trigger the recording. Once that voltage is reached it will do one screen trace and stop, and hold that screen until you release it. It also has a record feature for extended recording beyond one screen, I don't know if the trigger can be used to start recording though. I'll check and update.

How is it for automotive does it have drop down menu's with efi & ignition or something ? freeze frame ?

Yes yes and yes, even comes with sample videos of how to conect it to specific sensors and sample of a good know signal

will it work with windows 10 ?

It doesn't work with Windows 10 with the drivers off the cd. If you go to the Hantek site and register for a free logon you can download the latest drivers and software which work great with Windows 10. They allow you to download a driver set without a logon but those are the same as on the cd and aren't Windows 10 compatible.
