GREAT REPLACEMENT FOR MY AGING IPOD
I recommend this player. Versatile and well made. This was a great replacement for my aging Apple Classic iPod. A few observations. MENU: The menu system takes a while to figure out and be comfortable with. CARD STORAGE: I have 8,000 songs loaded on a memory card. I did not use the OTG feature. Note: The player relies on the memory card for storage. There is no onboard storage on the player itself. I needed a memory card reader to load files on the card from my PC. Don't lose the card unless you have a spare! LOOP WHEEL: Not as easy to operate as the click wheel on my iPod Classic. It takes a little more pressure to engage. REPEAT ALL: Function works well for songs, albums and artists. Hard to figure out how to do until I read the FAQ, SOUND QUALITY: Very good. I have both FLAC and AAC files loaded. Both sounded great. I have picky hearing. AAC sounded surprisingly good. I used a $20 pair of headphones. Never felt the need for a more expensive pair. Sound can be adjusted with an equalizer, replay gain, low/high gain adjustments. The unit also doubles as a DAC for your PC. Very nice! BUILD QUALITY: Excellent. Surprisingly hefty for its size.

Small, full-featured, and punches way above it's weight class.
Stock firmware was OK and it worked well enough. I flashed it with Rockbox and it's incredible how fast and responsive it is now. The Screen is a little small but its still a great DAP. Much simpler and faster than the HiBy R4, which has more features but is also bigger, heavier, and much more expensive. Drives my IEMs no problem and the sound quality is solid. Compared to the SnowSky Echo Mini which is just a bit cheaper, this is much better. Can handle more songs, does a better job with navigation, and is just all around better. Bluetooth was OK under the stock firmware but flashing Rockbox loses that feature.

Nice build, nice tech, nice nostalgia
The interface is easy to use. I really like the heavy compact build. Especially it being metal. The battery life is great as well and the ability to drag and drop songs was very easy. Including adding cover art to them. I'm using Bluetooth and the sound quality is truly amazing, much better than my phone. I also got the case for it and like how tight and compact it keeps the device. Bluetooth can be a tad iffy with some devices, as my beat pros 2 could not work with them but my aftershokz did. The EQ modes are also great. Overall I'd highly recommend. I use it for the gym and for walks. Easy to use and easy to program.

Excellent music player
This player sounds excellent. There is a brightness control for outside. The only minor quibbes the cheapo brand 256gb sd card i had was not recognized. I ordered a sandisk. Should fix the problem. The other is you can not have the controls( exceot volume), active with the screen off if you want, it IS in your pocket, but still woulda like that feature for shirt pocket use. It sounds equally nice with my sony 7506s and my Koss porta pros. I use the porta pros more…the Sonys are too heavy. Thr EQ has a lot of bands, and the presets are also effective. Build quality, seems excellent.,yet glass back, and no silicone shell available for purchase, drop it once, and its over.1 year warranty.

Not all music files supported on this
Purchased in July and the only positive is that it’s heavy duty and built well. Here’s the problem, battery life is horrible and short lived. My Bluetooth cuts on and off and it’s the player as I use Shokz headphones with my phone and now new Agptek player that only cost $26. Also my biggest complaint with the Hifi Walker that I spent $110 on, lots of my music wouldn’t play as it said file not supported. So I could either reformat all my music or only listen to half my songs. Well let me give you the best advice, get the Agptek player it supports all the music I have, light and very easy to operate. It has buttons but they also come in touch screen but I opted for the button version and I absolutely love it. It has Bluetooth that works great and I only have to connect once and it remembers which is a blessing. It also has the removable micro sd card slot which is all I use as this is the 4th mp3 player I’ve had and this is the best one I’ve owned not to mention cheapest price. Don’t waste money on this player you’ll be happy with the Agptek one. It’s simple to operate and buttons make sense where they are located. It has the lock screen mode also.

Excellent mp3 player amazing on good wired headphones.
Excellent music player Plays flac files too. Sounds amazing on wired headphones Sounds great on BT earbuds also. I just wish the screen had bigger fonts I need to wear my glasses to see the teeny tiny text. Otherwise it’s a great mp3 player that you can put a very large memory card into and bring your entire collection in your pocket.

Battery died after a year
Pros - (1) Simple to operate and download music from laptop. (2) Small enough to put in a pocket. (3) The plug-in connection to earphones has good sound, and the equalizer let you optimize. Not bad for the price. Cons - (1) While simple, it is a pain to having to go through multiple wheel scrolls/clicks to connect to ear buds and find songs. (2) While smaller than an iPhone, it's bulky and does lend itself to going to the gym or a run. (3) The wireless connection to earbuds is weak to the point you may loose the connection if you put the device in your back pocket or backpack. (4) Product lasted about a year before the battery died - used the player about 3-4 times per week, about 2 hours at a time, and charge when battery got down to 10%. Given the price point, the cons are tolerable. HOWEVER, when the device dies after a year of use, there is no way I'd purchase this again.

This is truly a quality mp3 player.
This is truly a quality mp3 player. Great battery life, amazing sound, durable. The "shuffle" option actually works even if you have thousands of songs. You do need to transfer the songs to the player while connected to a PC for the song meta data to register. If you transfer your songs direct to the sd card from the PC the genre, date, etc wont be there.
